Booked a table a couple of days before the actual meal and they told me I had to pay ÂŁ10/person deposit as they don't take booking without it. So we paid for the deposit. Went to the meal, drinks arrived quickly and to be honest starters arrived quickly too. Decent starters, nothing exceptional. The waiters kept coming to the table grabbing our beers to check if they were full or not, without asking or without speaking with us. After we had our starters we waited for 1 hour before asking more information about our main, the waiter was close to useless when I asked. They said they were dealing with other tables and then they will serve us, asked for a time and they couldn't give me one. After around 1 hour and 20 minutes the food finally arrived. The mains were small in portions and kinda average in taste, nothing to memorable. Moreover the plate did not come with any rice or noodles or anything else, just a simple plate with some chicken bits (like 4 or 5) and some veggies, this for around ÂŁ15 a plate. Overall we paid ÂŁ40 deposit (while the place was half empty, however we had to pay for it to book a table) and ÂŁ80+ for 4 mains and 4 drinks. No apoligies/discount/or anything else was given. Slow in service, average meals, expensive and non responsive staff. Would not recommend. Not sure where all the good reviews come from as most people seems to be waiting forever for their food and then...

Lovely restaurant with lovely staff, we just had a meal for 2, staff were absolutely lovely and very attentive, sat at your table and given a jug of water and some prawn crackers while you’re deciding on food, order was taken and food came out in a reasonable time. Food was stunning! If you’re looking for Thai dining this is the place to go, there was a slight issue with one of the items my partner ordered staff we’re extremely apologetic and offered us a replacement, we politely declined as we were off into town so the item was discounted and the owner/manager personally came and apologized which was a nice touch, she was a really nice lady and the gesture was appreciated. All the waiting staff we encountered were very sweet and all seemed happy in their roles which is always a nice sight, restaurant was also very nice decor is lovely and it’s nice and bright, as already mentioned if you’re looking for Thai dining this is...

Been there time ago and didn't seem anything outstanding, decided to give another try and order to take away. The quality was even worst than before and the price ridiculously high for the lousy food. The menu is very limited now and not showing prices thus you can get a nasty surprise afterwards. Ordered dumplings and came with 4 little bites at 9.50 quid (???) Fried rice and fried noodles are anything but thai, Chinese perhaps, bland, overcooked and unsavoury, absolutely rubbish. Ordered 2 curries and were even worst, unsalted with a sniff of curry, the king prawns with 5 units at 16.95 absolute steal, yhe chicken one was the same story, tasteless, dull, boring. I hardly doubt they even have a thai chef as he will be ashamed to serve that pathetic food. Price is utterly ridiculous for the portions, better to jump on the neighbour Chinese take way at least...

We visited this Thai restaurant for a Father’s Day family meal, and it was a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious, freshly prepared, and full of flavour. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making us feel truly looked after. Prices are similar to most restaurants, maybe a bit on the higher side, but definitely worth it for the quality. The coffee was surprisingly excellent — you can tell they know how to brew it properly. Desserts were a highlight too! I highly recommend the deep-fried banana and the sticky toffee pudding — both were incredibly tasty. The only downside was the wait time for the food, but to be fair, everything was clearly made fresh. My family left full and happy, though I personally wouldn’t mind slightly bigger portions. Overall, a lovely place for a special occasion. We’ll definitely be back!

We have been regular customers since this place opened. Sitting in every few weekends and takeaway most weeks. Over the last couple of months the take aways have always been late (25 minutes 2 weeks ago and 17 minutes today)... Late food is a minor inconvenience normally but we get fish and scampi for my kids from across the road (Fish n Hook) which always gets cold due to the delays. Again it could be tolerated if the food served was edible... Today the green curry was slop with the coconut milk completely split and the basil pork was pale and tasteless. The battered fried sea bass was soggy in oil (due to oil getting temperature completely wrong).

Tried Koi Thai out for the first time at the weekend - and what an experience it was. The new restaurant not only looks fantastic, but the food was phenomenal. So much flavour in every single dish. We enjoyed two starters a the sweet corn fritters and the dim sum which was fabulous. The sauce with the beef stir fry main was to die for and my sweet and sour prawns were just heavenly. A must try if you love Thai food. The interiors are also very lovely and finish the experience off beautifully.
