Shocked by the service today provided by the girl and guy on shift - I was sitting having my coffee, which was grand. I happened to glance on to see two older ladies come in; one clutching hold of two walking sticks and the other with what I would say is a broken arm. I must stress, the place was far from busy either. The two ladies ordered their coffee and asked could they have it brought over to the table - which I feel is a simple enough request and, given the two ladies' presentations coming into the shop, it wouldn't take someone with a bachelor of science to know that the two ladies would inevitably struggle, to make it to the table with their two drinks and extras. The attitude that was presented by the serving Guy was so spiteful "I'll drop these over, if I get the chance!", The two ladies took a seat. I then watched as the two ladies sat for well over 5 minutes whilst the drinks, made and sat on the counter, remained there whilst the two staff continued to natter between them.
Very disrespectful of two older ladies, with clearly challenges facing them that the two young ones behind the bar don't have.
Nero should make sure to teach respect to their staff where elders and disabled people are concerned - I'm sure the two servers wouldn't put up with the same on their usual round in Thompson's. This is not the Nero way, customers were not King in this question.
Place was however quite clean and my...
Read moreI have visited this Café Nero a couple of times and brought my own mug I noticed the guy that served me on both occasions was a bit angry looking it was as if I was the apprentice and the Barista was the Big Boss not very welcoming at all. I also noticed my coffee cup was nearly empty so much so I almost chocked I was going to complain and though hell what’s the use but I can complain here on line on a review, so I stopped using this particular Cafe Nero. The next week I then went to another well know Café Nero and only this time the two girls were very welcoming very friendly and they filled my mug to the brim it was then I was amazed to learn that when you bring your own coffee mug you receive another stamp on your loyalty card something which the Ormeau Café Nero never did for me so for that reason I will never visit or give custom to the Cafe Nero on the Ormeau road they are so mean and angry looking people not at all friendly and they don’t give two stamps on the loyalty card when you bring your own mug, something which all Café Nero coffee shops do as I have asked and they all said yes if you bring your own coffee cup we will give you an extra stamp not so with Café Nero on the Ormeau Road. You have lost my custom forever, Café Nero Ormeau Road...
Read moreMy partner and I visited Nero this evening for a coffee and later took our dog for a walk down Ormeau Road. Less than half an hour after leaving the coffee shop, I urgently needed to use the restroom. Since we had just been there, I assumed it would be accessible. However, a young staff member informed me that the toilet was out of order. When I mentioned that my partner had used it shortly before we left, the staff member seemed taken aback and asked how many hours ago that was, implying that the toilet had been dysfunctional for a long time. I clarified that it had been less than half an hour. It was evident that the restroom had been cleaned and closed prematurely, possibly for the staff's convenience, as chairs had been placed to block access. While I understand the desire to finish work early, it shouldn't come at the expense of customer service. Ormeau Road offers numerous coffee shops, and I may explore other options in the future due to this incident and the...
