Kaffe O — Restaurant in Belfast

This was my regular and most favorite haunt until last Saturday in december 2015. The food is great and most staff polite warm and funny. I dint mind sharing booths with other customers and found it quite cheerful really However, on Saturday after ordering the usual breakfast we were pushed down to the edge of the bar table and two other people unceremoniously placed beside me at the corner of the bar . Now I dont mind people sitting beside me but the guy was almost on my lap and leaning over my plate of food . That was OK but the bearded and grumpy server was really very rude and didn't ask us if it was OK to place the couple beside us . However, it was nothing compared to his behavior when he came to left our pates when he snatched it out of my hand and gave me an extremely rude stare .

Espresso sized flat white which pushed the boundaries of acceptability in the name of, I dont know? Coffee purism? Hipsterness? Either way it seemed like a very wee drink. Credit where due the coffee tasted good, but the biggest issue for me were the staff at the counter. Surly and unfriendly, not good enough. I know times are hard but a simple smile goes a long way...

UPDATE: Returned a year later (Oct 2021) and the staff appear to have gotten worse! Walk in at 8:05, all the lights off. "Are you open?" I said. "We don't know, what time is it?" they said. That was followed by the surly, smile free arrogance that seems to be a regular feature in this place. Flat white sized capucino for £3.40, which I chucked in the bin around the corner because the oat milk was absolutely vile.

It’s a terrible place for a morning coffee, I went there for the 4th time this morning because it is handy while i am waiting for the bus , but every time the coffee was burnt or today the woman doesn’t even know how to make a mocha and put water in it for the second time.. maybe it’s too early start for the staff and they should drink they own creartion to wake themselves up, I will go to...
