So this place has received a decent amount of attention since opening so we thought we'd check it out.
Nicely decorated with nice visually bright digital menu boards.
Now the food loved the buffalo wings (but who doesn't love some deepf wings covered in a buffalo wing sauce) only issue is they are tiny single jointed wings and they advertised on the menu visually as a double jointed wing.
Now I am sorry but this is were the positivity ends, they claim on their website to supply "fresh locally sourced chicken" I would question this, the chicken lacked any flavour and tried to hide this behind a 17 spice rub.
We ordered pitta, wings, ribs, thighs and some dirty chips. The sauces are all generic bought in sauces.
The pitta was bland and dry, the thighs were poor quality and lack any flavour (also advertised with skin, but no skin were on mine) and ribs seemed like they were straight out of a packet.
This place seemed like a good idea, Nandos owns this market but some really good independent places have opened recently doing great fresh innovative things like Grill'd in Bangor but I am afraid Dirt Bird is all style but no...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered food at 6.50pm. Arrived at 8.20pm. Forgot milkshake and half of the food. Said they couldnt give me any more food as they were now closed. I then phoned up Dirt Bird and they said more food was on the way. Waited one more hour, phoned up and said to keep the food, im not hungry anymore. The man told me it was already delivered again & to "Watch My Attitude". I politely asked the rude man to not speak to me like a 5yr old & that it was not delivered. I would be eating it if it arrived. He went to check. After checking, he discovered they delivered the new food to my next door neighbour and my neighbour is now eating it. I am not sure how they got this wrong considering they were already at my house with the original order. This is the 2nd time something ridiculous has happened when ordering from here. Terrible, terrible food...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas my first time going as I was craving some chicken and I cant eat kfc. From the get go, staff were super super nice and their menu although busy on the wall, was pretty straight forward. I got the half chicken with spicy piri piri, half a rack of ribs, the double burger, and the chicken fries with pepper sauce. The chicken hit the spot, so well cooked, and the skin was crisp! If I have to critique, it has to be the spice not being spicy enough! Next time I'll choose the maximum levelš the rack of ribs were really well cooked, basically fell off the bone and the burger was super tasty. Now to yhe best part, the fries, or should I say the pepper sauce! The fries, perfectly cooked as well as the massive chunks of chicken, then that creamy sauce to bind it all together...cant wait to be back! Certainly wasn't my...
