Visited this bar on Friday 18th Feb 2022. We were recommended this place by a friend, and visited here before. We were here for approx 2hours if not more, for our last bar for the night. There was a group of 6 of us. We were having great night enjoying the music and vibes of this place. Female bartenders were friendly and chatful to us all. We were in the side room near smoking area. Last orders were called and we were asked by the staff at bar as we sat close to bar if we wanted anything. We bought a last round costing almost 74pound. These were all short drinks and began drinking them at our table... The manager on the floor came in then and asked us nicely to move to the front room nearest the front door were bouncers were. I asked was it OK to finish our drinks there before we leave. He said of course.. They wanted to clear the side room for cleaning. We sat into front room. 4 of the group asked bouncers was it OK to have quick smoke and finish there drinks then... Bouncers said yes but make it quick. Moments later the bouncers wouldn't let them back in. Leaving me and my sister with the drinks on the table. Next our seats were taken from us. Then same manager asking us to leave. Moments after we got our last drinks and asked to move to front room. I brought drinks to bar counter and then the bouncer at the door began screwing and shouting at us to leave. Tho we had drink we literally just paid for. A female staff then snatched drink from my sister and threw it in the sink. Bouncers came in to move to walk us out which I had no problem with as I wasn't causing a scene. And manager followed us out.. I explained to bouncers before walking out the door your manager told us we could have the last drink and then leave. Which the manager began roaring in my face that he didn't. This was a absolute joke. I've worked in the bar trade for years and never treated anyone like this nor been treated like this before. Bouncers were threneting to my whole group. Then large dark skin bouncer began threneting us to walk away when we looked for a reason for their behaviour after it was very obvious their manager had completely lied and allowed us to buy a last round just to throw us out and keep the money. One of the bouncers then stating "head back down south and get away from here" I poiltly told him I didn't discriminate against him but was OK for him to do it to me. I've seen similar reviews about this manager.... But shame on the bouncers and the managers of this place. We were having great night there and spent close to 300 quid. To be treated like this. I pity the barmaids that agreed with us but told to be quite by management. I wish I had the time the following day to go back there to speak to the owners and look for a apology as we done nothing wrong but treated like we were scum. Shame...

Had a terrible experience at The Harp Bar on St. Patrick’s Day. I was there with a large group of friends, all of us wearing GAA jerseys like many others in the bar. Out of nowhere, my boyfriend was singled out by the bouncer and told he had to leave immediately because of his jersey—despite the fact that others, including people in our group, were wearing the exact same one.

My boyfriend even offered to button up his shirt over it, but the bouncer refused, saying that since he had already seen the jersey, he still had to go. To make things worse, he wouldn’t even give him time to let the rest of us know—just insisted he had to leave right away.

Absolutely ridiculous and unfair treatment especially on St Patrick’s day where the majority of people were wearing Gaa jerseys. Instead of staying in a place with such inconsistent policies, we all left and went elsewhere where we were made completely welcome! Wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a fair and...

Quirky looking bar with friendly staff in a trendy part of town.

We had a flying visit here on our last day in Belfast (my first time, my fiancée's second and she was determined that we find half an hour for a pint at the Harp Bar).

Full of mismatched chairs and Chesterfield style sofas, it's a really comfortable and welcoming bar with a really down-to-earth feel. It's a little overpriced compared to others but it's definitely a place I could see myself hanging out in for an few beers.

Despite the name, they've got other drinks on tap (including Hop House 13 and Guinness), but really - a pint of ice cold Harp and a comfy sofa is a good shout.

The staff are pretty friendly and the bar itself was nice and clean.

Definitely worth a stop in if you're...

If I could give 0 stars I would. Myself and my boyfriend up for a weekend in Belfast and went to this bar, my boyfriend was wearing a gant shirt and gillet paired with a pair of rm Williams boots. Only to be turned away at the door and lied to about the fact it was full to then see other people being let in. I went back up and asked why this was exactly after being told the place was full and the bouncer said it was due to the brown boots my boyfriend was wearing and they had trouble in the place a few weeks ago with boys in brown boots. Actually laughable considering it was a couple just looking to go in for a drink. I will make sure the next time we come to Belfast my boyfriend dresses like a smick.

Although it was practically empty (Simply because I went around lunchtime on a Sunday), I still loved the atmosphere at the Harp Bar. The place was decorated in a way that gave out, what I can only describe as, a sort of Titanic vibe - The red, velvet chairs gave me this impression more than anything. This, combined with the chill music and plethora of bar memorabilia, made it a great spot to sit and enjoy a pint (Which I was expecting to cost more than the fiver I paid for it, to be honest). The couple of pictures I managed to take without looking too strange don't do the place justice. Definitely worth a visit to properly take in the decor.

I really like Harp Bar. I go here to socialise - the live music creates a great ambience in the bar to be found on the left as you go in. Customers use the section just in front of where the band play to dance. The bar on the right hand side has relatively newly been refurbed and looks great especially the quirky reclaimed tiles etc and the graffiti art court yard is definitely worth a see and totally instagrammable but on a busy weekend evening I don’t like being shepherded into this area or upstairs as the place I want to be in is too busy. It’s a 5 out of 5 if and when I get into the section I want to socialise in.
