Where to start with this place. I was the lead booker for a table of 16 i picked this place based on the morning of i had a good brekky. Ali booked us in with permission from his manager all was straight forward and i appreciated the short notice booking. When we arrived at 5pm we were the only table in. Drinks took 20 minutes to come, not great but not the end of the world, but things only went downhill from then. 1 hour after ordering food not a single plate had arrived to hour table so 1 of us question where food was as we needed 3 plates to come out now as they were catching a flight, eventually these meals came out, bit by bit just a single burger on the plate chips came out 20 minutes later, food was either undercooked, cold or completely burnt, we expressed our dissatisfaction to but yet food continued to come out cold, 1 hour 45 minutes in and i still haven't received any food , my order was simple: chicken goujons and chunky chips, yet it still had not appeared, eventually Ali came over and i expressed he had been in the kitchen and in contact with his manager, he was aware of our problems and was totally on our side, the kitchen staff had let this place down massively. All credit to Ali and said manager as the bill was wiped for the entire table including drinks and without Ali this would not of been possible, you have a good waiter there keep him on board and get some decent kitchen staff in this place will make a killing, the live singer sounded great but unfortunately the restaurant experience had left us all wanting out of the place. Ali explained to me that the kitchen staff had been rotated since the morning and they are the issue in this establishment to which i agree. 1 star purely for Ali otherwise i would give...
Read moreAs a non local, I visited this pub to try some Irish stew. When I entered, I asked and the lady told me that if I want food, I need to go upstairs. I went upstairs and asked for the deal of stew+Guinness for £14.95. It was some delicious food. However, when I payed, I realised they charged me around £3 more. When I asked about it, the waiter told me this offer is for downstairs only. When I let him know about the lady sending me upstairs, he finished saying I should ask the lady downstairs and just ignored me afterwards. When I went I downstairs wanting to leave, I saw people eating. I wouldn't make such a fuss about it, but it feels a bit scammy. However, 3 stars for the sake of the food. Would I visit again? Yes, if the staff is properly trained and care about customer issues. And if charges are clear. Until then, I'd say you can try it...
Read morePopped in here while staying in Belfast and wasn't disappointed. 2 courses for £15 - 4 starters and around 10 mains to choose from. Or there was also the main menu to choose from. We had something from each. We had cheesy garlic bread and nachos for a starter - the bowl of nachos was big enough for 2 to share and had plenty of salsa, guacamole, and sour cream on top. Mains wise, the eldest child went for chicken goujons and received a large plate. I went for the chicken stacker, which was amazing. The wife went for the honey chilli chicken (which comes with rice or chips or half n half) which was also tremendous. Service was really good, and our server was...
