I had heard so much about output and it’s good food but when I got there, me and my boyfriend were left extremely disappointed. The food was great that was probably the best part of the service! I’ve never complained about anywhere I’ve ate before but I honestly couldn’t get over the service that we had. The chefs in the kitchen sweared the entire time, shouting out and in all honestly the language and behaviour was unbelievable! On top of this we had finished our entire meal and the kitchen hadn’t made the truffle tots we’d ordered, ended up getting them after we’d finished and not even an apology was given, did I mention the kitchen wasn’t busy and only had two tables us included. Also when we were sitting in the restaurant, we had came in at half three which is just before their closing time of 4. Another table had came after us and sat outside, we had finished our meal just after 4 and the other couple had gotten there’s at 4:10. One member of staff when another was handing out the order for that couple said “flick them away” “get rid of them” which made both of us completely uncomfortable and not welcomed, we rushed to get out of there because we felt we were interrupting them getting home. My advice don’t take tables past a certain time if you don’t want to serve past 4. I’ve read through a lot of the reviews also, doesn’t surprise me that other people think the service is awful, no point saying your going to change if your not. Don’t think I’ll be back if that’s the...
Read moreOur first visit to Output Espresso left me with mixed feelings. It's a cozy spot for a Sunday breakfast, but there's certainly room for improvement. One major plus is its dog-friendly policy, which is always appreciated. Another positive aspect is that they offer vegan options, even though the selection is somewhat limited. Unfortunately, one of the options we wanted wasn't available that day. The individual components of our dishes were nice, but some items on the plates didn't seem to go well together, as an example I ended up having to request two slices of sourdough just to enjoy the smashed avocado properly since there was nothing else on the plate to complement it. Considering the name "Espresso" in the place's title, we had high hopes for the coffee. However, it was quite average, lacking the expected acidity, bitterness, or any distinctive rich flavor. The staff were attentive during our visit, but there was no inquiry about our experience at the end of the meal, which I would have appreciated. The bill for two breakfasts, two coffees, and a side dish totaled a bit over £40, which felt on the expensive side given the current economic climate. What was particularly disappointing was the additional charges, £3 for the two slices of sourdough and £0.5 for a drop of oat milk for my partner's coffee. I hope they take this feedback into consideration because Output Espresso has the potential to be a...
Read moreAppalling service and attitude, I’ve tried visiting here 3 times, with my last and final attempt today. Didn’t like the attitude of staff the first 2 times so didn’t stay, they came across as aloof and condescending. I thought maybe I hit them on a bad day previously so I thought I’d give another try as I heard the food was good. Today we went in and it was busy and had to wait which was absolutely fine and totally understandable. Again the lack of simple eye contact and warmth was lacking, but I just ignored it. After standing for 5 mins waiting for a table we were asked (told) to stand outside in the cold for the table, despite there been plenty of room inside to stand, I mean lots of room!! 🤔 I questioned it and was met with an attitude and was told we had to wait outside. Unbelievable. Customer service would get a minus if possible and atmosphere double figure minus. Will never darken their doors again. For full transparency I didn’t get to eat here so I can’t review the food. I don’t care how great the food might be this utterly unacceptable service is a...
