What a gem. My wife and I visited from the States, and this was our first stop once arriving in Belfast. I made a reservation before my flight for 7pm on the day I landed, and once I did land, I had an email from the team stating they close the kitchen at 7pm. They could take my orders via email if needed or come in at 6:45 to ensure my wife and I got food. They could have looked at the reservation and said the yank can't read business hours, but they went the extra mile and reached out to me, which mean a lot. I appreciated the fact Callum and his team did that. We arrived at 6:45, and I'm glad we didn't cancel. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a small band playing local music. We were seated, and we started with Old Fashioneds made with McConnell's Irish Whiskey. McConnell is a local Belfast whiskey, which was really good. We then had a great plate of caprese salad and were ready for the main meals. I had bangers and mash, and my wife had the roast beef. In the States, gravy can be really heavy, but the gravy for both dishes was so good and didn't fill you up the way it does in the States. If you're in Belfast, this pub is a must.

The pork belly melts in your mouth and the chicken was lightly coated and very tender. The rustic fries were nice and crispy. Including two lattes and a tip the meal came to £36. Definitely recommend here for lunch. Parking is a nightmare so he parked in the NCP high rise carpark 5 minutes away at £1.50 an hour. Service was good and efficient.

Great spot! Done a class job of refurb. Was in Saturday for a few pints and food. Service was excellent and pickle and smoke food is delicious - those sandwiches and chips 👌You can reserve a table too which is handy :) and good vegan options. Highly recommend and another excellent addition to the Belfast pub and food scene 🍺🥪

Called in for lunch. Got pissed off after half an hour waiting on food eventually arrived 35 minutes. Simple food ordered scampi and a chicken dish both done in batter. The scampi was crap my wife only eat one piece. Chicken wasn't great I eat all of it but then again I will eat anything when hungry. Joe the staff member saved the day he was good craic and very apologetic. I'm a Guinness drinker but didn't order a pint as £5.70 is disgraceful you claim to be Sailor town pub then why not sailor tiwn prices. The American Bar down the street gets my vote and my money. From what I see get the investment money back quickly from the tourist. Will they go there possibly but not with that service food. Sailor town people I don't believe will use it. My wife was rared in sailor town. So from both of us good luck but we wont be...
