I read some bad reviews on here before visiting but figured how bad could it really be, Yo Sushi is pretty standard right? Oh how wrong I was! When we arrived there were many empty tables, however they hadn’t been cleared. A few people were in front of us queuing for a table but after 5 minutes they left, after another 10 minutes we understood why. Staff were just walking past not even acknowledging we were there waiting. When we finally got a table it was clean, but the cleaning equipment was left on it! We ordered a couple of beers and many dishes on the app. 1 beer and 1 dish arrived, no chopsticks, no wasabi and no dishes for soy sauce. Despite ordering all of these on the app, asking for help on the app 3 times and trying to catch a member of staffs attention we gave up and used the chopsticks and plastic packets of wasabi from the takeaway fridge. We ate our 1 dish of sushi and then used the empty dish for our soy sauce. We had to share our beer until the other bottle arrived. The rest of the sushi arrived over the course of the next hour by which time we had ordered another couple of beers. Half an hour later, after asking someone where our drinks were we were finally presented with our 2 very warm bottles of beer. It’s the only brand of beer sold in Yo Sushi, how could they not have any in the fridge? The sushi dishes were badly presented and looked like they had been thrown together by a small child. During our ordeal, many people had arrived, waited for a table, been ignored and then left, despite the restaurant being more than half empty. Such a shame we didn’t. Before leaving I used the toilets, no toilet roll in the holder, toilet roll all over the floor and even some out on the restaurant floor. This led me to look at the restaurant cleanliness in more detail, it was filthy! Dirt, mud, leaves and rubbish everywhere. The staff just seemed to be oblivious to any customers, they spent most of the time chatting to each other. When our ordeal was over and we left, we walked past the window at the other end of the restaurant and saw half of the staff sitting at a table with a group of friends who were, coincidently, the only people to have been seated straight away upon arrival. Avoid this place at all costs, badly presented food, dirty, extremely rude staff, very overpriced, eating here can’t be described as anything else but an ordeal. Also remember that you are paying for your food before you get it, so they have already got the money, so you have no option to leave or dispute the bill. I used to go to Yo Sushi at least once a month, I will never set foot in...
Read moreI will never be back. We travelled 2 hours last week to get grub here (Yo Sushi! in Dublin was my favourite restaurant and my husband wanted to treat me). We arrived at 8.30pm, which granted was cutting it a bit fine for 9pm closing, however, nowhere on the site does it say last orders 8.30pm. They attempted to turn us away empty handed, but I managed to convince a nice young man to give me something very basic to take with me. So we tried again today. Left in loads of time and arrived at 3pm. I had booked a table online for 2.30pm, but when I realised we'd be late I cancelled it (wasn't allowed to change it), but when I attempted to rebook it, it said no online table bookings after 1pm. So we turned up, happy to wait for a table, only to be unapologetically turned away again (as were the two couples in front of us). At least 50% of the tables were empty and some of them lying filthy. Staff were in no hurry whatsoever. We were eventually accommodated, but this had more to do with my persistence than any courtesy on the part of the staff. Most of the tables remained empty during our entire sitting. Also, the high chair was filthy and I'm quite certain that the staff member that led us to our seats noticed this too but turned a blind eye. How the food tasted at this point is irrelevant. Apparently the reason for turning ppl away was that they were too busy...I would consider what I saw today to be much closer to empty than full. Really sloppily run place. Pity really, because run properly, this could be a...

We had booked and received a call beforehand to say they are running out of food. It's a Saturday night and other place are booked out.
Upon arrival, every table was disgusting and needed cleared. The floor was filthy. We got a table 'cleaned' for us which still had food smeared across the qcode. The prep area was a mess and the staff were in mid conversation beside us, 1 staff member telling the others off for not looking busy. Like the place was a mess including the table the staff were sitting at. Empty bottles of beer going around the sushi train the whole time we were there.
We ordered and some of what was ordered they didn't have and to be fair they made something else. Before we got all our food we were told the kitchen is closing. Alot of our could was from the fridge, hard and cold. Other people came in and the staff said that they were closed, we were still eating. It wasn't near closing time. They sat down again....... We saw ourselves out
It was the strangest experience. I honestly thought it was a joke. It is really sad to see once an amazing goto place that had such a buzz and great food to what we saw last night. I can only imagine the shutters will be coming down again on another food place in the city centre.
That really did it for me, was there a few weeks ago and aot of food was off menu but last night's experience, there is no way I would be back, so...
