As an aficionado of traditional Indian sweets, I recently visited Barfia with high hopes for an authentic and delightful experience. However, my visit left much to be desired. Upon sampling their barfi selection, I found the flavors to be lacking in authenticity and overall quality. Many of the varieties fell short of the mark, with none truly standing out as enjoyable. Despite the premium price tag, the quality simply didn't match up. In addition to the disappointing flavors, the service at Barfia could certainly use improvement. It lacked the attentiveness and warmth that one would expect from a premium Indian sweet shop. Overall, while Barfia may have potential, it currently falls short of delivering an exceptional experience. With a need for greater attention to flavor authenticity, quality, and service, I hope to see improvements in the future. Until then, I'll be seeking my favorite Indian sweets elsewhere.

If you’re looking for unique barfi for gifting options or to just enjoy all to yourself, then this is your place. The barfi is 10/10 and a real household favourite offering a selection of lovely tasting sweets. What unfortunately lets this place down is the abysmal customer service. No matter how many times I have been here, the reception is always cold and uninviting. The girls behind the counter are single handedly letting this place down. So much so, that I’ve resorted to ordering online so as not to have the displeasure of facing them. I really don’t get why it’s difficult to crack a smile, it won’t take anything away from their inheritance. Complete lack of customer service as well as decorum. Reading all the reviews just echoes how bad they really are. I think you’ll see a significant improvement in your ratings if you either teach them some manners or replace them with people that actually want a job!

Placed a large order for my son’s 1st birthday turned out to be a disaster presentation. Put a complaint in and they made excuses that they were busy because of Diwali and had 1 staff on. Is that my fault? I wish I went to a traditional sweet shop and paid half the amount. Will defintly not be going back and telling everyone to avoid.

Service - This shop is a little gem hidden on Soho Road Birmingham, I visited the store just recently, unfortunately it like many others are closed to the public due to to covid 19, I called the land-line which didn't work however managed to get a mobile number for them, called it and a lovely lady answered within seconds, she said they where taking cash only and only telephone and online line orders, so I asked her to make me a box of random popular flavours, she came downstairs in 10 min with my box of joy, was very pleased with the service.

Taste- Barfia barfi is an enquired taste. Some of you may like some of you won't, I opted for the 8 peice box for £7 as I only wanted to try, let me tell you the 8 peice box is more than enought for a family of 2 adults 2 children probably more . I'm happy to says everyone enjoyed the collection of randomly picked flavours. Each is unique and taste wonderfull, my mum who lives in Preston has asked to bring a couple of boxes on our next trip, I will definitely be returning to this store when I need more, keep up the great customer service and more importantly the quality of the food....

Hi dad placed an order last week for roughly 30 boxes of barfi to hand out/deliver to our family members in light of the birth of their grandchild. My dad told the store that he will come on Wednesday (9th December) to collect the order and the store told my dad to come on Thursday (10th December) as that is when the deliver arrives, so my dad agreed to this date. He then turned up yesterday (Thursday 10th) and was told the order was not ready and was not given a date to come and collect it. If this was the case, why did the store not call my dad and tell him before hand that the order was not going to be ready so he didn’t waste a journey to go to collect the order which was not complete. He then asked for the order to be delivered to him to avoid any further unnecessary travel and the store refused even though it was their fault the order is not complete. We are still waiting on the order and not impressed with the service - they have taken part payment and not delivered on the order. Next time we will not be coming to the Birmingham branch as their are unable to fulfil their promise and order on time and have no...
