Bear & Staff — Restaurant in Birmingham

I have given 3 stars for the menu and the value for money. Our visit was very disappointing. We ordered 2 starters and 2 mains. The two starters were served on one plate and served at the same time as the mains. The mushrooms should have been served with a salad garnish and a dip, they weren't. The omelettes were very nice but could have been hotter. I asked for pineapple juice, they didn't have any. I don't know if they don't stock it or were just out of stock. I then asked for sparkling water and was offered soda water. I don't know if this means they don't stock sparkling water. I don't know if they were very busy but service...

Extremely disappointed. I visited the bear and staff this evening and I felt extremely unwelcome by the woman behind the bar and the locals she was talking too. As we walked in they were all staring at us and after less than five minutes of sitting down the lady came over to our table and rudely slurred at us to "order or get out" she was clearly drunk and very aggressive, she was so off her head she was mistaking us with other people aswell.

I feel we deserve an apology Just trying to go out for a nice drink and instead got verbally assaulted totally ruined my night and I will definitely never go here again or let anyone I know go...

This place looks good from outside & there it stops ! It looks dirty inside , its cramped & full of " dirty old men " sitting nursing a pint for hours . Called in today & a film crew ( presumably doctors , ) had taken over the car park & pub , there were no tables & we were directed to a dingy corner , i think by the dart board , there was nowhere to sit anyway , so we left in disgust ! Why not close the pub for the day ? Suffice to say wont return to this dump id...
