BURGER & SAUCE - Selly Oak — Restaurant in Birmingham

I used to really like Burger & sauce the food was decent enough and the deliveries were usually quick however after the extremely poor service we received on Sunday I will not be ordering from here again.

On Sunday we ordered two meals for delivery using Just Eat, the order was updated to 'out for delivery' very quickly but the estimated delivery time eventually kept changing.

Unfortunately we were due to go out and as it was clear the food was not going to be delivered on time we decided to cancel. Because the restaurant has moved the order to 'out for delivery' we were unable to cancel through just eat so we called up the restaurant to cancel.

The restaurant informed us that the food was ready and that they were waiting for the delivery driver to pick it up (odd because the status had been out for delivery for well over 30 minutes). We asked the restaurant to cancel our order as we will not be there and they refused to do so. We told them not to deviler as we will not be home hence why we needed to cancel the order.

After all of this they still attempted to deliver well over an hour late, we have a video doorbell and by this time we were parked up in the city centre.

The Just Eat app, is very unhelpful you can't get past their idiotic AI chat bot to speak to a real person in order to resolve the issue. I think we'll be avoiding both Burger & Sauce...

My boyfriend and I had a really tasty meal at the Burger & Sauce branch in Kings Heath earlier this year, so decided to treat ourselves to a lunchtime delivery from the closer Selly Oak branch via JustEat. I'm sorry to say it was a huge disappointment. We ordered two of the same burger (Beef Nacho Melt), but wanted one without jalapenos. Instead, this request appears to have entirely removed one burger from our order (although I acknowledge this may be a glitch on the JustEat app, and we weren't charged for the missing burger). It's just as well, because the one, thin burger that we shared was incredibly dry; hardly any cheese sauce to compensate for the dry, shrivelled patty and layer of nachos. Whilst most of the chicken wings were quite nice, one of them was completely inedible - the meat next to the bone was pink and raw, whilst the rest was an awful dark grey colour. The mozzarella sticks, loaded fries and desserts were more flavourful, but nothing particularly special. I doubt we'll order from this...

Okay, so my nephews have been banging on about this place to me for months, but I decided to Try out selly oak branch today it been the best food choice I've ever made, the server was outstanding, informative, and then the atmosphere was sublime, clean, bright and the alinformayive art was unique and clean loved it now onto the food, best burger uv had in a very long time and the special fries I could eat everyday no lie, what an amazing place with out of this world food, im going back tomorrow. Hands down one of, the if not the best burgers iv ever eaten. Just go there and see the greatness taste greatness, experience the greatness yourself. No theatrics. Just real talk. 10 outta...
