Big John's Hagley Road — Restaurant in Birmingham

New shop opened in May, with one whole month, of half price offers, on a small section of menu, so it was not half price on all the menu,

Great friendly staff, well experienced to take your orders & serve you fast,

Its a small TakeAway only, theres no sitting or dining,

I visited on three occassions,

You order the 12in pizza with choice of 5 ingredients, if you ask for 'vegeterian hot' theres no fixed ingredients or fixed names for any pizza, like other pizza shops who have names for various pizza types,

They make amazing tasty pizza, i had a deep pan, it had soft bread and generous amount of cheese,

Highly disappointing was the Lamb Donner in pitta bread, the portion was the smallest i have ever seen, just recently the one in town which closed down, used to serve generous portion, which i used to save for next day, but still it was absolutely delicious in taste, besides the very small portion,

Half peri peri chicken was good portion and fresh, unfortunately a different cook or staff, would serve the best or serve less marinated, i always order spicey hot, one day it was served well grilled or bronzed with skin, next day it was served as white with less skin and not spicey hot at all.

This particular branch is absolutely awful. The seats are all ripped up, exposing the filler in the seats. There was an altercation between 2 men who came into Big Johns a few days ago, they were swearing at each other and pacing around the store, 1 of the guys was saying "ill punch you right now". I was absolutely terrified. I informed staff who watched behind the counter and didn't do anything! The stupid door isn't allowed to be closed, so you are sitting in this freezing cold temperature inside eating. They put the prices up, but the quality of the food is rubbish. Asked for chicken kebab and chips, hardly any chicken kebab, but more chips (its cheaper for them) and plenty of salad! The SEATING NEEDS TO URGENTLY BE REPAIRED! The damn door fixed. Absolutely disgraceful came in with my children, my youngest was dying for the toilet, the man seen my child crying for the toilet and told me to go to bullring. You know what is disgraceful to see that most of the staff are Muslim and my children are Muslim and you denied a young Muslim child the opportunity to use the toilet and relieve himself. All due to your arrogance absolutely appalling No child or pregnant lady should be denied the right to use the toilet in any establishment.
