Dropped into Java Roastery HQ while in Birmingham, and honestly, it was exactly what I needed. Clean, stylish space with that laid-back buzz that makes you want to linger a bit longer than planned. I had an Ethiopian blend flat white — served to perfection by someone who clearly cares. Silky texture, balanced flavour, not a hint of bitterness. You can tell they’re proud of their beans, and rightly so. There’s no sense of rushing or pretentiousness either — just proper, thoughtful service and seriously good coffee. The place looks like it has a nice rhythm: I can imagine people working quietly, friends catching up, a few regulars drifting in who clearly know the drill. It's the kind of café that makes you feel like a local, even if you're just passing through. In short: Coffee done properly, in a space that feels genuinely welcoming. If you're even half as picky about your coffee as I am, you’ll want to come back

Birmingham continues its change for change sake, making it difficult to find parking. On top of that, once great coffee shops that used to have decent oatmilk options have decided, as long as it's oatmilk, it doesn't have to be drinkable. [Rant over] So, Java Roastery gets top marks. Location is good if you can time it right (although I did see a warden, and I'll only pass by in the morning); Oatmilk (Oatly Barista, the others, in my opinion, are horrible in coffee); The coffee itself 👍🏽 The last time I visited, I also got a toffee apple muffin (many places don't sell good muffins), and initially, I thought I'd be disappointed. Nope, that was pretty good too. This place even had fresh flowers 💐 on the table!

Java Roastery – Birmingham’s Best Coffee Spot Hands down the best coffee in Birmingham for actual coffee - quality and variety. Every cup is smooth, rich, and expertly made. The staff are always friendly, welcoming you with genuine smiles and great service. The environment is modern, clean, and beautifully designed — a perfect place to relax, work, or catch up with friends. Highly recommended for anyone serious about quality coffee.

One of my favourite spots to get coffee when I'm in the area. They roast their own coffee beans which is impressive, the staff all seem to be fully trained baristas so my flat white is always being made with consistency of quality.

Recently I've been trying their iced latte which is amazing when the weather is hot, creamy, strong and cold. This place is for the coffee lovers.

Shout out to Antonio and the rest of the staff, the service is always...
