Nando's Sutton Coldfield — Restaurant in Birmingham

I recently dined at Nando's, and the food was absolutely delicious with no complaints in that department. However, there's definitely room for improvement when it comes to the service.

Nando's has always been my go-to place for mouthwatering dishes, and this visit was no exception. The flavors were spot-on, and I couldn't get enough of their signature dishes. The menu offers a fantastic variety, and I appreciate that they prioritize freshly made food.

Here's where my experience took a turn. After placing our orders, a friendly staff member informed us that our food would take twenty minutes because it was being freshly prepared. While I appreciate the commitment to freshness, it became frustrating when, after 30 minutes, our food still hadn't arrived.

The most disappointing part was that we could see our food ready but unattended on the counter. Despite the restaurant not being particularly crowded, the staff seemed preoccupied with casual chatter among themselves. As a customer, it's disheartening to watch your meal sit untouched while staff members appear oblivious to the fact that it's ready to be served.

In an otherwise pleasant afternoon, this service lapse cast a shadow over what could have been a great dining experience. Nando's, I adore your food, but please, let's work on the service aspect to ensure your customers don't leave with a sour taste in...

I've been to Nando’s multiple times before. Like always I ordered from the menu and expecting to pay the prices displayed like all other restaurants with the Vat included in the set price.

Found out that they then charge VAT on top of their set price, without making it clear on the menu that these are excluding Tax. Haven’t seen this before.

I have always enjoyed the service I’ve had at Nandos. I enquired about this whilst at the restaurant, and although I questioned as to why they don’t display this clearly on the menu or inform customers about this prior to your order, the answer I got was this is normal and happens in all restaurants.

What I expect is to pay the price displayed on the menu. I have no problem paying VAT when it’s clearly displayed.

The menu prices added up to 40.96 and the hidden VAT added on made it 49.15 surely just add the tax to the menu cost like...

We arrived at 6.20pm, hoping to be out at 7pm, as we had a show at the town hall. In our past experiences at different nandos around the country that usually can happen. However in this instance our food didn't arrive until about 7.05pm and after multiple complaints to the staff.

Every single takeaway order was completed in about 5-10 minutes. No attention was paid to the customers sitting in the restaurant. There were plenty of staff in the restaurant, just seemed like bad organisation. Even though the restaurant was half empty, people who wanted to come in were asked to wait 15-20 minutes.

I wasted money and one of my green chillies on a meal we literally had to shovel into our mouths or risk not being let into the show. An absolute disappointment. completely...
