Peppers City Takeout — Restaurant in Birmingham

The food here is good. Piri Piri style chicken. They do 5 flavours: mild, hot, extra hot, lemon and herbs and BBQ. I've tried them all and I prefer hot and extra hot as it has a good piri piri flavour. The other flavours are not as good or flavoursome. Wish they had a garlic flavour as that would've been an excellent choice.

They do whole and half chickens, wings and and strips. All cooked with succulent flavours and you can ask for extra sauce t make it juicy.

The sides are a bit standard - just fries. No rice or bread and the salad is very standard too. This ruins the piri piri style cuisine and the overall experience of eating here.

Negatives: The salad was cut too thick and sloppy (bent tomatoes and cucumbers) and the place was very messy when I walked in. All the tables had plates left on them. The place wasn't busy. Another customer took a video recording of the mess (he happened to know the owner of the restaurant) and asked the staff to clean the tables then they did.

Overall experience was good but the service was a let down, but I'd recommend...

If I had a chance I would rate this 0 stars. lucky for you, peppers. At the beginning, the quality was nice and stable and I really liked this place. I loved it, actually but as time slowly passed, the quality of this food decreased and it was pretty disappointing, but I managed to give it a second chance.

I went there again (I couldn't fight against the deliciousness), I ordered a chicken burger with fries and Pepsi, I took my meal and headed home to find mayonnaise and salad in the burger even though I clearly asked for no mayonnaise and salad. I decided to go again because it was top notch and the food was tasty. I ordered the same thing, only to find 3 hairs in my burger at the same time, it was disgusting.

anyways, I went there again, I ordered and waited. Then, i heard one of the staff call me a slt and a bich. I was shocked out of my mind, it was shameful behavior considering I'm a regular at this place. I got very embarrassed and sad, so I ate my burger tearing up. That was great...

Been using the place for years and spent alot of money there, I got chatting to a young Asian guy who was studying Engineering I tipped him a fiver. I bought a bueno tirimasu along with a burger meal it was late after midnight, I went home ate burger and chips, let it go down then I went to eat my fave the Bueno Tiramasu and it tasted like off milk I couldn't eat it, so tonight I went to order the same but I needed the gone off Tirimasu sorted out, come on if something is off and unedible you should get a refund, I spoke politely explained it had gone off and was basically told I was looking for charity, ye after tipping guy a fiver and telling him keep 3 pound change and usual order is 15 quid im worried about 2.50p sorry but they rude, just pray everything is correct, cos they did it to a friend shortchanged him called him a liar then looked on film realised they wrong threw the change and wouldnt apologise. I got called a liar tonight for no other reason than i spoke the truth about...
