The homemade pasta is a highlight, with every option promising a delightful culinary journey. My personal favorites are the Ossobuco, which is tender, rich, and packed with flavor, and the duck pasta, which offers a perfect balance of savory and subtle notes. No visit would be complete without trying their cannolo, which, without exaggeration, is the best I have ever tasted. The crisp shell and creamy filling create a memorable dessert that I find myself ordering every time.

Read moreVery last minute, my partner and I had to stay over in Birmingham on a Thursday night, and we were at a bit of a loss as to where to eat. We rang to see if they had any seats available and what kind of food they did, and we were greeted with such a warm welcome and also told that even if it were busy, we would still be welcome, plus they had a menu that suited us too! So we walked down to the restaurant (a beautiful walk at night next to the canal) and came upon an absolute gem of a restaurant. Homely, a beautiful setting, and lovely, lovely staff. My partner and I shared an arancini alla Norma to start, and for mains, she chose a delicious seafood ravioli, and I chose the Sicilian sea bass. Both were absolutely delicious, cooked to absolute perfection, full of fresh flavours, and honestly, the most succulent piece of fish I can remember. The truffle chips were simply an added bonus! There was a real homely feel to the place, and we even got to chat with chef, and I even ended the evening with a hug!! I know that we will be going back there as soon as we are in Birmingham again, and if you are visiting, it’s a must do if you like a genuinely friendly, homely Italian, feeling dining...
