Food no complaints: Service questionable.

Staff had an attitude when I asked them not to throw boiling hot fries on top of a piri-piri bun and burger in the same box, as I know by the time I get home the heat of the fries would have condensed their heat into the bun, resulting in a soggy floppy bun head. Don't know about you, but I prefer a dry soft bun on top of my burger. The Eastern European girl (just a fact not a slight on nationality) was shocked that I asked for the fries to be served separate indeed as their big poster pictures displayed the fries pictured outside the meal box in a separate fries pouch. At this point the 'Manager', with his graduate-grade management skills got involved. Instead of appeasing his customer he sarcastically pointed out for me to read the small print on the wall displayed poster which he read out. " Pictures are for demonstration only." I tried to explain to him the logic of hot food on top of cold food but his arrogance was fuelling his male-bravado-machismo. Undoubtedly, chest beating in front of his female staff. I replied by informing him that by his poster small print logic he might aswel put beef instead of chicken in my eat-out box and use the small print to get away with anything. Let you know I do not like to argue, seriously, but if someone wants to be silly with me and be illogical then I can't back down now can I? Whilst giving me gorilla eyes from behind the counter the female staff begrudgingly took half the fries out and put them in a separate bag. The face on her whilst she did this was a torrid fest of disdain and evil daggers. For young pubescent staff to be so rude raises a flag indicative of an unhealthy institutionalised culture starting from top down. Wait for it. Then she continues to throw an ice cold water bottle into the same bag on top of the box and fries. What can I say??? By the time I got home, a journey no longer than 10 minutes, you guessed it, the ice cold water bottle was wet with condensation so much that the cardboard box had almost disintegrated, causing half of the bun to be soggy with moisture and half of the fries were wet and cold.

Now.....can you see the logic of what my point was??? I have been cooking and serving food for almost 35 years and would never put cold food amid hot food. Indeed, any reputable food establishment would not. Even when you go to MacDonald's, you'll notice the water is served separate to the food. In fact even the fast food joints popping up everywhere will serve the cold drinks away from the hot food. Basic science, basic logic. Yet, I had the discourtesy of the manager of this establishment telling other bystanders that I was a "troublemaker'.

Well......this is the way to lose business.....no more shall I pleasure them with my money or business.

I think some people forget that they are in a service industry.....if you don't like the industry get out.!

Soggy floppy bun heads...

Store don't deliver order and don't give refunds!!! Never ordering from here again!!!! I always place an order for 2x Maxi Burger, 2x Spicy Fries and 2x Necto drink. For some reasons the driver don’t bring the Necto drinks or the fries won’t be spicy but regular fries. Whenever I chase it with Deliveroo they tell me to contact the store. And when i contact the store the answer i get is “Sorry about that. We haven’t got any drivers at the moment to deliver your drinks. Can we deliver it with your next order?” This is the response i got on multiple number of times. I've placed an order today and called the store, spoke to a lady. I told her that the store owe me 2 Necto drinks from last time. The lady said “Sorry can’t give that.” and hung up on me. I tried calling again, she answers it and hungs up. Is this the best professionalism that Sam’s chicken can offer? The funny thing is i pay the money in full for the orders i never get it. The restaurant never ever...

Disgusting service. We are a local buisness who order our evening meal weekly as delivery takes some time we always send someone to order in and take out. Went in to order some food never had a problem like this before collecting food asked for some bbq wings to be told we only make them for delivery orders????? SORRY WHAT?! When the week before there was not any problem or issue like that. So it is easier to deliver wings than collect then? Are they made in the drivers cars while on route? Lady on till couldnt speak english and said she is manager no respect on customer service. Walked out. Never again will be ordering from here. Would advise people to please think multiple times next time if you are to order or eat from here otherwise they wil be saying you cant have it unless you want a delivery just so they can charge extra for...
