The food was ok but the customer sevice was terrible! When we entered the restaurant, one guy (who I believe was the manager), pointed at a table and said "here" in an abrupt tone of voice and did not offer a welcoming smile at all. When we were ready to order, a different guy came to our table to take our order, again, we were faced with another lifeless human being! When one of our dishes were ready, another guy brought the dish to our table but he seemed to be in a rush as he uttered something like "excuse me!" in a harsh tone of voice and pretty much slammed the plate on our table and scurried off... We were also asked "how IS your food?" when we'd obviously finished eating and had empty plates laying before our eyes, which I found odd yet funny! Throughout the entire time we were waiting for our food, we noticed the manager shouting at several members of staff, including one girl who was obviously new and hadn't been properly trained! We just found the manager to be incredibly rude and unwelcoming to all customers - no greeting, no smiling and directing customers to a table by pointing and saying "next to the wall" and "in the corner" etc. like a command. I'm pretty sure that most of the staff are not rude and it is obvious that the manager's negative behaviour has had a negative effect on his staff's motivation to deliver good customer service. In my opinion, the manager urgently needs to learn some basic management and customer service skills otherwise we'll be seeing Topokki crumble in a few years! Overall, although I found the food to be ok, I will not be dining here again, simply because of the shocking...
Read moreA staff (An Asian guy at the reception - may be the owner) was very rude!!! (The waitress wasn’t) The table we were put was right next to the door and we were quite cold as the entrance door was now closed properly. We also would like to have grill after we had a look at the menu and as our table did not have a grill, I went to talk to that guy at the reception if we could move to that table and he said yes . He may have mumbled but he put a mask on and I may not have caught it. (no idea why this restaurant can’t have a grill in every table! And you can’t order BBQ if there is no grill! Ridiculous!) As we were moving to another table (for 6, only 2 there at the minute, the two seats by the window with the grill were empty), the couple sitting there had finished and I asked permission if we could sit from the man who were waiting for his lady guest to come back from the toilet to leave and sat at the table. A minute later, that staff came and asked the man if he was ok several times that we were sitting there before they left and although the customer guy said ok a few times, the staff unnecessarily confronted and talked to me with a very high tone that he told me to wait for them to leave first again and again, embarrassing us and making me feel like we had made such a big mistake! I didn’t even hear what he may have mumbled earlier! Not with his mask on!!! We came here to enjoy the food but we didn’t deserve such uncivilised treatment and behaviour! We pay but we also treat the staff with respect. We expect the same treatment from the staff too. I will never ever go...
Read moreI recently dined at this restaurant, and while the food was undoubtedly good, it didn't quite reach the level of greatness I had hoped for. The flavors were delightful, but some dishes were not the best I've ever tasted, but others left me wanting more.
The service was pleasant, but it didn't go above and beyond to make the experience extraordinary. It was polite and efficient, but lacked that special touch that can elevate a dining experience.
One significant drawback was the restaurant's refusal to accept card payments. In today's cashless society, this is a considerable disadvantage and can be inconvenient for patrons.
Another point of concern was the portion sizes. All three of us at the table agreed that they were surprisingly small, especially considering that both sides and mains were priced similarly. It left us feeling like we didn't quite get our money's worth in terms of quantity.
In summary, the restaurant offers good food, but it is not the best I tried, with pleasant but not exceptional service. The inconvenience of not accepting card payments and the small portion sizes were definite drawbacks that left me with mixed feelings about the overall...
