I recently had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant and wanted to share a few thoughts based on my experience and background in seafood cuisine. Lobster with Mozzarella: Adding mozzarella cheese to lobster may not be the best choice, as it tends to overpower the delicate and unique flavor of the lobster. If you wish to include cheese, I recommend using it sparingly and selecting a type that complements rather than masks the seafood—such as Parmesan, which can enhance the dish when used in moderation. Use of Turmeric in Rice: I noticed that turmeric was added directly to the rice. When not properly sautéed beforehand, turmeric can leave a raw, slightly bitter taste that affects the overall flavor of the dish. It’s important to toast turmeric in oil or butter before adding it to the rice to bring out its aroma and eliminate the rawness. Choice of Herbs in Rice: I suggest using fresh cilantro instead of parsley in seafood rice dishes. Cilantro pairs more harmoniously with the flavors of seafood and can elevate the dish with its distinctive aroma and taste. Shrimp in Lettuce Salad: Additionally, I would suggest adding a few small shrimp to the lettuce salad. This simple touch can enhance the flavor and tie the salad more closely to the seafood theme of your menu.
I share these thoughts with the utmost respect, based on many years of experience running seafood restaurants in Spain and Portugal. I truly appreciate the effort and creativity in your menu, and I hope these suggestions may be helpful in refining your already...
Read moreAll shell and no meat !
We went there this afternoon/ evening 20th September 2025, the floor was very slippery (must be the tiles) im glad I didn't order the boil (hence not in bag - as I should be) It was served on a large shallow plate which looked like a plate full off birds feet !!. I ordered cod n chips that was okish, but the boils not in bags just came on plates with juices sauces etc. The actual blue crabs which we asked what crab they were, I googled how big blue crabs are and on average a blue crabs shell span was 9"-10" the body of the crabs, the body was literally the size of a 50 pence piece but there was no meat inside whatsoever! Im so so glad I didn't waste money, but felt sorry for the rest of our party that had. There was a 45 mins wait before food came and 25 mins before we was even asked if we were ready to order. At the start we pre booked for 14 people and the manager was argumentative that the 3 tables was enough for our party when it clearly was not. We needed 4 tables. He wasn't happy with us querying this, and this was at the start of an evening! It should of been celebration of a birthday but it wasn't as we all expected. I cannot believe that the meat on the crabs and lobster was non existence. All in all it was a very poor start and finish. We stated that we wasn't happy to manager, but he just said okay, carry on. He clearly did not care. Our waiter asked if we would like to tip, we obviously declined. Guys n gals 👎👎👎👎👎 its a NO from me! Overall very poor experience. Don't expect...
Read morethe food was lovely, my personal favourite being the shrimp plate (?). we took the 30 option, i'd say perfect for two to share! i took a mac and cheese, stir fried veg and the recommended creamy mash as sides. the stir fried veg was different to how i imagined (more peppers than anything, haha), but i still loved it! the coke float was interesting but delicious. my brother took a chicken burger with fries, and i think the fries had some special salt or spice on them that made them tase real nice!! would definitely recommend!!!
service was great, i think his name was sumit? sumid? (sorry, i've forgotten) and another tall lad (didn't catch his name). very polite and quick with orders.
the atmosphere was comfortable, the sofas by the window very nice to sit on. i found it quite funny every time i was peeling my shrimps and a passerby would just look. i can't remember if the windows were tinted or one-way, but i would recommend sitting further in the restaurant if you're self-conscious of how you eat, haha.
price-wise, i'm not quite sure. i think seafood is expensive anyway, and nothing especially concerning for value compared to other shrimp-type places.
couple last things i'd like to mention : they do love spicy mayo here. the hand wipes (for after getting saucy with the shrimp) smell so good and not all alcohol-y.
overall five stars because i didn't find anything too bad. would come again if i had the chance, thanks for the...
