I would just like to say, a couple days ago I came by and went to get a sandwich but then changed my mind that I only wanted a scotch egg. The woman with short hair started getting angry like I’m not aloud to change my mind, only because her colleague was already cutting the bread and started speaking to him poorly. Personally her service is terrible and started even being hesitant to me like girl, maybe listen to me when I’m speaking and stop being rude: I work in hospitality myself, that is NOT how you treat a customer.

I came today to buy something with a friend at 3 and normally you can have jacket potato or panini at that time because they close everything else, she just was rude and said sorry we are closed like no your not I come here all the time.

She is a horrible individual, I don’t know what you’re going through or what but you need to reevaluate the way you speak to people, I am a customer not your granddaughter, gain some respect.

It’s a shame because all the guys that work there are so lovely 💕

If the owner is seeing this you should really speak to this woman and get her in check and if you are the owner, learn how to run a business.

Thanks for...

Worst attitude service i have ever seen!

Ridiculous service! I asked to borrow the toilet and they said yes as long as I purchase something so i said okay and went in. But when i leave, the owner immediately rushed in and check the toilets then went out to confront me and say i should clean it after using it (i did flush and make sure everything is clean) and they still told me to clean it up. Which is RIDICULOUS. I am a customer too, i bought a drink after using the toilet. so do you ask all customers to clean the toilet after using ? Or is it just me ? If so i think this is personal and racist, me as an 17years old asian, i think this is racist and personal which is UNACCEPTABLE. Does not recommend at all ! So if anyone need to use to toilet dont use the toilet , instead do it outside the shop since the owner dont want her toilet to get be...

Very politely tried to return a literally burned cheese panini when was very rudely assured, by the older lady behind the counter, that was the way they do their paninis- black on both sides and with a strong smell of burned! I requested, again patiently and politely that I would like if the panini was replaced by one that would not be so burned which was adamantly refused! After being treated very rudely, requested for my money back which was denied again! This is one place that me and all of my colleagues, which had similar experiences at this place, will NOT BE VISITING AGAIN! Please be aware that Soda Bread Cafe does not know the difference between 'toasted' and 'cremated'! And, once they have your money there's no point in complaining.. They keep it no...

The location is ideal. I went with friends, some of the staff is nice, some others are okay. We asked for another napkin as we got messy and they said they already had given one so they didn’t want to give us another… The price are not so clear, if some options are add-ons, i would rather know before I pay, and the food was okay. Very plain. My friend ordered an iced coffee and she got a hot coffee with one ice cube in it. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend that place, I just don’t think it’s worth the price/ experience

A lovely café in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter with a warm and friendly atmosphere. I stopped by for a quick lunch break and tried their toasties. The lady serving me recommended the Italian version with mozzarella, ham, and a side salad—it was delicious! I visited during peak time, so there was a wait, but the food was well worth it. Great service, tasty food, and a welcoming vibe!

Soda bread is now my absolute favorite! This place is faultless. The staff is incredibly lovely, and the food is consistently fantastic. I've enjoyed both dining in and takeout on my two visits. It's the perfect spot for a peaceful solo meal before or after a hectic day. I'll definitely be returning. Plus, I've heard the bread is baked fresh every morning – that's an added bonus! 🍞👌
