Bank Holiday visit! Callum our lovely server helped us choose our drinks (there are soooo many to choose from with all sorts of theatrics) We were driving so had the Bubblygum, Dark Fruit Fizz and Mango Milkshake - all were delicious and I never felt like I was missing out! Once sat down Callum asked if we had any allergies or dietary requirements which was great to see. The menu is found via a QR code on your phones (to stop transmission from paper menus and save trees!). So many choices- I couldnt choose from Fajitas, burgers, seabass, fish finger sarnie or Duck wrap - all sounded delicious but I went with Chicken in a Basket (upgraded to Salt and Pepper fries!) and my other half had the Katsu Curry which were both delicious. I couldnt resist trying the Churros - caramel injected and served with a gooey chocolate fudge sauce! Really love this place but with all the drinks you'll order it does get a bit pricey (non alcoholic were £4-7 and alcholic started from £6). Lovely venue but as a side warning there are stairs to get up so you'll need to head to the back entrance for the lift and push the bell for assistance.

My friend and I popped in for a couple of drinks as we knew The Alchemist did drinks with a twist and we were both curious. And wow we were not disappointed at all! The bar is on the first floor above Las Iguanas but there is lift access. When we arrived it wasn't busy so managed to grab a seat instantly, and the server who took our drinks orders on the night was ever so friendly, credit to the staff as we couldn't fault them. Me and my friend had ordered the Raspberry Ripple cocktail to start off with, it didn't last very long at all as it was so nice. I then opted for the Bubblebath cocktail, again a beautiful drink which didn't last much longer. Finally we were curious over their version of shots, called Cosmic Oysters, which arrived in these gorgeous metal oyster shells, the flavour was almost like a lemon version of Benylin cough syrup, if you can imagine that, but it was really nice! A 10/10 visit and we both agreed that we would come back again on our next outing to Birmingham.

Me and a mate were in Birmingham for a show, and needing a bite to eat before the curtain rose, we stumbled upon The Alchemist. Honestly, I wasn't expecting Birmingham to be so buzzing on a Wednesday afternoon – it had the vibe of a Friday or Saturday night in most other cities! The Alchemist itself is a bit of a hidden gem. Tucked between bustling outdoor terraces, it's easy to miss – the entrance is just a small doorway leading upstairs. Once inside, though, it's a different story. The restaurant was clean, inviting, and thankfully, not as packed as the outside options. The food was decent – not the best steak I've ever had, but definitely not the worst, especially considering the price. I get the feeling their cocktails are their real stars, though. The atmosphere had a kind of "date night" feel to it, with a touch of mystery – a good spot to impress someone new.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Alchemist Brindleyplace, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. This place truly lives up to its reputation as an incredible destination for both food and drinks.

Oh, prepare yourself for this epic tale of culinary delights and Jamie's charismatic charm! The Alchemist, my dear friends, was a gastronomic experience like no other. As we ventured into this mystical realm of mixology and flavor, Jamie emerged from the mists, bearing a grin that could rival the Cheshire Cat's.

With every sip of their extraordinary cocktails, I felt as if my taste buds were being tickled by mischievous fairies. The drinks were a symphony of flavors, swirling and dancing on my tongue like a wild party in a flavor factory. Jamie, our guide through this enchanted journey, was a magician of mixology, concocting potions that delighted both the senses and the soul.

As for the food, it was a feast fit for royalty, or perhaps even for unicorns with exquisite palates. Each dish was a masterpiece, carefully crafted with ingredients sourced from the gardens of the gods. The flavors harmonized like a celestial choir, and I swear I could hear angels singing with every bite.

But let's not forget Jamie's impeccable service! Like a comedic wizard, he entertained us with his quick wit and whimsical tales, transforming our dining experience into a sidesplitting spectacle. He danced around the tables, serving dishes with the grace of a swan and the agility of a ninja. His charm was so potent that I half expected him to produce rabbits out of top hats or pull a never-ending stream of cocktail umbrellas from behind his ear.

So, my fellow adventurers, if you seek a truly magical dining experience, venture forth to The Alchemist and let Jamie guide you through a journey of flavors and laughter. Just be prepared for your taste buds to be enchanted, your heart to be captivated, and your cheeks to ache from smiling. Cheers to Jamie, the culinary wizard of...
