Well despite me finding so much good customer service in retail nowadays, that run has come to an end. The lady next to me in the shop saw fit to comment, "you're meant to be the customer". I have visited this shop almost weekly for as long as I can remember, but I won't be doing again. Given the price rises, I'm quite sure they can I'll afford discourteous and rude staff. I went in and after looking at the options asked to have made a cheese sandwich. The surly brunette serving snapped back you won't get that cheese on it pointing to the roll in the display. That's fine. Asked about the meal deal with a drink, never told me the price so went and got my drink and crisps from the co op. Making the sandwich she was facing away and difficult to hear, but when I asked for just a little onion I and the lady next to me clearly heard, "it's too late I've put it on now" whilst she was being rude a short silver haired lady was at the other end of the counter rolling het eyes at me. We have a choice where to eat and I have visited this shop onany occasions, but will not be doing anymore. Even locally there are better and less expensive options (Paul's pasty's and Bolton's beloved Carrs) but when you add in such blatantly rude and hostile staff who have no care to be so, (I would urge management to check the cctv I was calm and polite throughout) it is the final straw charging £4.50 for a simple cheese salad roll served with sarcasm and disrespect. Subway is next door for fresh made sandwiches and you can get a meal deal in the coop for Les that the cost of a sandwich here. And without the rudeness for which there was no excuse. Retail is getting tougher and one of the ways you can protect your business is by making the effort to make customers know you appreciate their business. I wonder how much money this shop could make if it was run properly. Won't...
Read moreHi there, I took my 19 months old daughter out and decided to get a sausage roll for her on the way home, after I purchased the sausage roll and I gave to my daughter straight away so I thought she can have few bits in the car, get home and took her out of my car, and I can see the sausage roll in her hands looks so rare and even the pastry itself looks not well cooked , so inside the sausage roll was really pink .😢 I have to throw it away and so disappointed with the experience . I used to like everything from Greenhalgh’s and I hope I was the only bad luck one who get the un-cooked sausage...
Read moreI was having the family over and putting on some eats but I didn't want to spend all my time in the kitchen, missing out on my visitors. To make things easy I ordered three tray pies from the ChorleyNew Road shop. Two steak and one potato and meat.
The pies measured 12 x 10 inches topped with a crust. Plenty of filling in both types. Total cost £55. It was money well spent. Tasty food easily prepared and allowing me to spend time with my visitors.
I have used Greenhalgh's pies in this way before and I will no doubt do the same again.
Very good service and...
