Tried this place for the first time last week and I unfortunately felt a little disappointed by some very basic things. I ordered the farmers breakfast and my fiance had the goodlife breakfast. The toast and the bacon were spot on, and the cherry tomatoes and mushrooms were ok, but sadly the rest of the breakfast was slightly below par. The fried potatoes were rather greasy and soft, like they had been precooked and then just dunked in the fryer prior to service. The sausages had a rather odd texture, very dense and like a firm paté, which may just be down to personal taste but they were not the butchers sausage I was expecting. The beans tasted like Tesco's own and not of the best quality that you would expect given the price of the breakfast. Also, the ketchup that was supplied was very cheap tasting and almost translucent. I dont believe it had ever met, let alone contained any tomatoes at all. I would have liked my eggs scrambled but unfortunately they only offer the eggs one way, which is fried. Whilst I do understand that for ease of service it makes sense to not offer them as the customer would like, but it would have been nice to have my breakfast how I want it for the price I was paying. My other half said he breakfast was OK, but the halloumi and the beans tasted cheap which was a shame as the halloumi was the supposed "star of the show" for that breakfast. Overall, the rest of the food was of a good standard, but I feel they have let themselves down a little with the use of poor ingredients in some aspects of the meals we tried. The service was friendly and professional, and my cup of tea was really good. Please give this place a try though, it may have just...
Read moreStopped here to get a coffee and so pleased we did. The coffee latte was very smooth and nice and the cafe was clean and very well presented. I'm not really keen on fresh food being exposed to all and would like to see some sort of cover. Coffee was reasonably priced but we also had 2 small pieces of Rocky Road cake and that was a little steep.... £4 each... Staff were polite and courteous and the owner spent some time explaining how they keep their menu fresh because it's based around what they want to put on the menu so the menu is always updated and keeps it fresh for repeated visits as there will always be something new for you to try. Highly recommend a visit if you are...
Read moreWhat a wonderful gem my husband introduced me to today. Intentions were just to stop there and have a coffee as that's what he had previously done but with seeing the menu, we chose to grab an early lunch too. Oh my gosh, WOW!! Service was spot on, friendly and fast which is always a great start. Great variety on the menu which they told us changes weekly and so my husband chose the farmers breakfast which is a bigger size than the full english on the menu too. I went with mushroom stroganoff and rice, and no I'm not vegetarian but it simply sounded delicious! It was FANTASTIC!! Lovely little location, wonderful service, lush coffee, delicious food, we will...
