Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Bradford

I visit this Costa on average 3 times a week, I will start by saying the staff on a morning are 5 *. Always pleasant with a good morning or how are you, good manners with thank you and please. This review is in no way a reflection of their service.

That been said, the shop is severely under staffed, Costa need to give them budget for another member of staff or two. This is more a reflection on Costa hiring policies than the staff themselves. Once or twice a month, I would arrive in the morning about 7.50am with the store opening at 7.30. The doors would be locked, with one member of staff alone inside. They could not open for fire safety until two people are on site, this is understandable and people can be late or ill from time to time.

However this past week, I went Friday, Monday and today. Friday a member of staff was stood outside when I arrived at about 7.50am, and still their when I left at 8.15am, no key holder or supervisor to open up the shop. Monday a member of staff was inside alone with the door locked, no one in sight to to open up with them. Lastly today a hand written notice in the door, sorry we will not be opening until 9am. No reason given.

Costa! Many people use this shop on a morning and throughout the day. Give them more budget to hire staff so they can have 3 in a morning to open, if one falls ill or late the shop can still serve it's customers! and an extra person through the day. Lunch time and the afternoon this shop is packed, they need staff to run...

Arrived at 5pm thinking we had plenty of time for a catch up, sat down with our coffee then a member of staff came around informing us they were closing at 5.30! Door and website says 8pm close, member of staff pointed out the smallest sign in the world on the door saying closing at 5.30. Then another member of staff came round saying we are closing NOW! You need to leave! Why not tell us before ordering!? We wouldn’t have bothered getting our drinks if we knew we only had half an hour, in future will look for an independent coffee shop/bar instead, fed up of Costa now they are taking over the world, overly priced and not particularly good coffee, and toilets are filthy, we only meet here because it’s convenient and there is plenty of parking,...

I've been at this costa coffee shop 3-4 times, i always been waiting at least 15 mins to be served!!! Last time i visited this place i was very disappointed... I've been waiting as always , so i took a sit and waiting still... so my coffee wasn't even ready to be make 😄 (they forgot probably) so next time you have to wait there, don't sit!! Well i decided to go and wait there standing front of the bar, no body even asked me if i need anything. So i kept waiting, i decided to ask for my coffee, the guy said: I will make it now, so no apologies at all. Anyway coffee is ok but service is not good at all, and place is not clean. Staff is too slow , and there's just 3 barista working. Don't judge my opinion, i don't hate...
