Rumpus Burger - Saltaire — Restaurant in Bradford

Wow, this might be the worst experience at a restaurant I’ve ever had.

I had been desperate to come here since seeing this place on rate my takeaway and today we finally got the chance

When our order was being taken the server asked what side of fries we would like. I was surprised as I didn’t realise it came with fries, and asked ‘ is it any of the fries on the menu?’ and he said ‘yes’ - so going on the waiter’s words we ordered the loaded fries and halloumi fries.

Anyway we got our food. I had only just started my on my sides and the waiter asked if everything was okay so I hadn’t had the chance to properly try the burger. When I got around to it the burger was just simply not good. I ordered the Brie and bacon burger (my absolute favourite) and it was the blandest thing I’ve ever had. The burger had 0 flavour … I didn’t realise that was possible! I was so sad given 1) it’s my go to burger and 2) it was £16

I waited for when the waiter came back to try and tell him expecting him to ask how was everything, and he didn’t

Anyway we got the bill and paid and just when we were leaving my friend said she couldn’t believe we had been charged for the chips. I didn’t realise and was confused, so I calculated the cost and realise we had

Obviously mistakes happen so I went back in to get it rectified and the lady at the counter was abit rude and very abrupt. She wasn’t having any of it. She was like ‘ it’s clearly outlined on the menu’, but it was your staff remember that said it was any fries!!!

Keep in mind I have dyslexia and reading isn’t my strong point - so when a staff member tells you it’s ANY fries you believe them!!

Also when this interaction happened with the waiter he should have questioned our choice when he said the fries come with it and we were so surprised, asked any any then ordered what we did. Clearly his knowledge isn’t good and it cost us nearly a tenner at our expense because of your staff member’s incompetence and ignorance

There’s far better places to visit in Saltaire so I would recommend avoiding when...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rumpus Burgers in Saltaire, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. With so many creative and delicious options on the menu, it was hard to decide what to order, but ultimately I went with the "Black & Blue" burger. This burger, made with rarebreed Longhorn beef, was truly outstanding. The flavors of the beef, blue cheese, and blackened seasoning blended together perfectly, and the bun was soft and fresh.

To wash down my meal, I opted for a local blonde beer from the Saltaire Brewery and a refreshing Bundaberg Ginger Beer from Australia. The drinks were the perfect complement to my burger, and I enjoyed every sip.

As someone who has tried many of the top burger joints in London, including Black Bear Burger, Lucky Chip, and Shake Shack, I can confidently say that Rumpus Burgers in Saltaire is a serious contender for the title of "Best Burger." The quality of the ingredients, the creativity of the menu, and the attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience were all top-notch.

I also have to give a shoutout to the waitress who served me. She was friendly, efficient, and attentive, making my meal even more enjoyable.

Overall, I highly recommend Rumpus Burgers to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying...

One of the very best Burgers I have ever eaten, the only place that matches it... ( Dose not beat it ) was in a very expensive 5 Star Hotel i stayed in & it cost me a fortune, the Rumpus was very much on par with it in every way possible. The staff were very nice & friendly & as I have savear allergies to mushrooms they made sure that no cross contamination was made in any way & as I can't stand anything smoked they also allowed me to have cheddar cheese instead of the smoked cheese that was on the menu with that particular Burger. Honestly if you want a Burger that makes your mouth water just thinking about it then this is your place, if you want a Burger that all the fast food places promises to deliver yet fails at every opportunity the this is your place. If you want a Burger that once you have stuffed your face to the point of not being able to eat another bite yet makes you want another one just to keep tasting it over & over then this is your place. And if you have the desire for Fries of which there are many options to add to your 10/10 Burger then I have one...
