The Quaffery — Restaurant in Bradford

My fiancé and I love this place! A little gem in Saltaire and we are very lucky to have it on our doorstep! The food is lovely and beautifully presented. There is a great selection of drinks available too. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free diets are catered for here. We love it as a coffee shop during the day, but we also HIGHLY recommend visiting on a Friday or Saturday night when it is open until 9pm as a lovely cafe bar - serving various alcoholic drinks ( including the most delicious cocktails!) The Bottomless Quaff ( a bit like a bottomless brunch but in the evening!) can be pre-booked and is an 100% amazing selection of tapas bites and great value for money bottomless drinks……..The decor in here is fabulous and it always feels like we are in some lovely bar abroad- eating our tapas and drinking our cocktails! The owners and indeed the whole team are super friendly and genuinely interested in chatting about your day/evening. Children are made to feel welcome in here and the look on their faces when the milk shakes or waffles come out is priceless. There is a high chair available for little ‘uns and all you have to do is leave your pram/buggy folded up inside the door which is 100% sensible and no big issue. So in a nutshell ……if you are passing through Saltaire you simply must visit...

Always a cracking pit stop at The Quaffery...

There's no panini these chaps and chappettes haven't mastered and the lattes tumble down a parched throat with a remarkable smoothness.

I could commend the snickers milkshake with the pertinent caveat that it will induce a long term addiction and deliver a sugar hit that could put a honey bee in a diabetic coma. But if you gotta go, go with a smile.

Friendly, devoted ownership and you can tell from one foot through the door that this is a passion project and so incredibly worth supporting.

Saltaire has come on so much over the years and has plenty to pose stiff competition, but The Quaffery is the cream of the crop of breakfast and lunch spots, leading the charge.

Conveniently placed on the main road which has a one hour free parking access, there's usually someone leaving fairly regularly, allowing a swift pitstop for a refuelling.

Cute, modern decor in a cosy space and generally super-fast service and a great banter...
