Loved it here! I'm not vegan but it always looked good so I've been meaning to visit for ages. I ordered a Philly burger and my girlfriend ordered a Burrito. The Burrito is huge and full of fillings which tasted amazing! The Philly burger looked a bit small when I first saw it and slightly underwhelming but when you bite into it you realise it's well worth the money and it comes with a side of nacho chips which is awesome!
The price of the food is really very reasonable. Some say it's expensive but I'd actually say it's cheap. They also do excellent coffee which comes in biodegradable cups, I had a peanut butter coffee which tasted really nice. They do Milkshakes which are Monster Shakes, they are quite pricey but maybe they're worth the price since they're "Monster" size? I can't say because I didn't buy one.
The staff are very welcoming and they aren't fake smiles either, they feel like good genuine people. I think this cafe is a great place to show people how there are some really good alternatives to eating meat.
Also for those who need to know, there is free Wi-Fi here and they also sell vegan food to take home and cook yourself.
So to sum up, whether you're vegan or not, I highly recommend this very friendly, cosy and delicious Cafe and this is the longest review I've ever written...so I must've...
Read moreWe were looking forward to eating here as the website made it sound amazing. We were very disappointed though. The badly designed interior made it almost impossible to find a seat. We eventually found a seat which was a hard wooden uncomfortable chair & it was very cold as the door was open continually . There was the odd tatty armchair to sit on or dirty plastic stools. We then had a 35 minute wait for our food. Burgers were dry with a blob of sauce in the middle. Burrito was sadly lacking cheese. Milkshake was at least half made up of ice cubes. Dogs were allowed to walk around inside which was not hygienic at all. It was the worst vegan eatery we have ever been to & we regretted the trip we had made to get there & wasting our money on dry tasteless food. I know the concept is that of junk food but I really think a better effort could be made. Vegan food can still taste lovely but this was just rubbish. The decor was cheap & tacky. Struggling to find anything positive to say. At least the food was hot. Sorry but we were really...
Read moreThis place seems to be a bit of a cult favourite with vegans in Bristol.
My honest opinion is that it's grossly overpriced, quality and service do not live up.
First of all everything is extortionate, I believe I paid around £9 for a vegan burger, £5 roughly for a milkshake and around £5 for a side of Mac and cheese. The food tastes preheated and is just kind of thrown together, burger was decent but not worth the price at all. The monster shake is just made to look decadent but the doughnut they use is so dry and inedible plus I felt like they used a lot of ice.
Staff are so unfriendly it's just strange. It's like they begrudge your existence.
By all means give this place a try yourself as it's very 'hyped' but I think this is just due to the lack of this style of vegan restaurant....
