Broad Street Social — Restaurant in Bury

I've passed this place countless times and never went in as I wasnt really sure what it was. I found out after Irwell Works Brewery shared that they had won/shared a Camra award jointly with Broad Street. I've now visited a few times and been pleased to find a few beers to my taste on each occasion. The chap on the bar has been great on each occasion managing that jovial warm welcome without being too over friendly and intrusive. There are a good set of books and games and children are welcome to a sensible hour.

Certainly on my visits there has been a grown up clientele with conversation and convivial friendley atmosphere.

Beers are sensibly priced and then selection of local draught small but...

Really enjoyable place, all bare brick walls and sociable atmosphere. It's fairly small so can get cosy when it's full, but being up North you'll soon get into conversation with your neighbours!
