It is a small and specialised Korean restaurant. As the name indicates, bibimbap is their main offering. Although the food choice is relatively limited, the food quality is very consistent.
The bibimbap is served in stone bowl while still boiling. The bubbling sound serves as a natural appetiser and definitely amplifies the fragrance and strengthens the taste, making the dish more delicious and savoury! The meal set is usually include 3 small side dishes, usually kimchi, mashed potatoes and soup, but may vary seasonally. Personally, I would recommend Meal No. 5, with Japchae (sweet potato noodles) spicing up the classic combination.
The staff here is very nice and warm. They work in a very professional and efficient manner, taking order, serving food and checking on customers regularly with every detail considered.
There are two minor drawbacks about this restaurant. Firstly, it is increasingly pricy over the past a couple of years, not good value for money. Also, because it is a bit small, sometimes it is difficult to get a table and sometimes you will be asked to leave to make room for other customers. It is perfectly understandable but still a...

I want to get 2 things out of the way, it is on the pricier side, and please google how to eat Korean food (if you don’t know) - so you’d feel less heartbroken to have eaten rather too quickly or shabbily for the price you pay. But, oh so flavourful.
I ordered the Pork Bulgogi Bibimbap; the dish was composed of a few elements: rice, fried egg, bean sprouts and a couple of other veg. The food was flavourful and fresh, the pork tasted impeccable and had a great bite to it. I can imagine feeling comfortable with this meal on autumnal days; it is hearty and warm. I found my meal moderately spicy; you can control the spice by carefully mixing the spicy sauce (gochujang?) and soya sauce according to your taste. There were accompaniments: meat, sauces (x2), braised tofu?, cucumber draped in sauce, and miso soup. There were other items on the minimal menu: sushi-type rolls, sides, tteokbokki (google says a braised spicy rice dish) - descriptions would’ve been helpful.
The business is small, the service is simple, and the food delicious; perfect for me as I was on the lookout for a quick lunch. But £17.80 later, I think I’ll stroll...
Read moreDangerously good Korean food here, fortunately reasonably priced.
I'm a sucker for simple menus, especially like the selection at Bibimbap House where there are few options and they're all foods prepared with skill and passion.
The main dishes are served in (very hot!) earthenware bowls and brought out on a tray with soup and two side dishes which vary and add to the meal in an interesting way. This dynamic, of consistently amazing main dishes with the addition of fun new flavours and textures in the side dishes works well.
Being family run, the atmosphere and service feels very intimate and friendly to the point of absurdity.
I really wish I hadn't written this review now as I've become incredibly hungry just thinking about it. Be warned that this may be a pandora's box of...
