Unfortunately, my experience here was extremely disappointing. After placing our order, it took about 20–25 minutes for the food to arrive, which would have been fine if the quality matched the wait. Instead, what came out was shocking.
The chicken was served both raw on the inside and hard on the outside — absolutely unacceptable and honestly disgusting. The pizza wasn’t even cut properly, forcing me to struggle with a dull utensil knife just to separate a slice. To make matters worse, after eating only one slice, I started to feel physically sick.
Between the unacceptable food quality and the overall experience, I can confidently say I would never return to this place.
Below is an image of the pathetic pizza but unfortunately the raw black chicken didn’t make the cut.
EDIT: Regardless of how you try to frame it, the fact remains: the chicken should never have been served hard and raw in the first place. Replacing it after we pointed it out is your basic obligation, not a “point in your favour.” Trying to spin that as good service is irrelevant and dismissive.
We told your staff the food was “fine” only because there was nothing more you could do in that moment – not because it actually was fine. If you want to rely on CCTV, then listen properly: you’ll clearly hear me say “this has no taste” and my partner calling it “pathetic.”
As for the pizza, leaving it half untouched after a few slices should be evidence enough of what we thought about it. The photo we uploaded was ours, just zoomed in – so don’t suggest otherwise. If you check your own CCTV, you’ll see us take it ourselves.
Instead of trying to discredit paying customers with talk of “fake reviews,” maybe take the criticism on board. That’s what real growth looks like for a small business. Belittling and deflecting only proves the point of my...
Read moreWe had a really lovely time at Peri Peri Grill Last night. The food was amazing, the lamb chops were cooked perfectly and the lemon sauce with the spice was just delicious. The pizza was also really good, the kitchen staff suggested half veg and half non veg which was a great idea and we really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend the lamb chops to anyone.
Couple of small things that could be better. When ordering chops it would be nice if proper utensils were given as they are hard to cut with a normal knife. Also our waiter didn’t check in with us to see if we were enjoying our food, which we understand as it can get very busy, but it always adds to the experience when staff check.
The toilets and overall cleanliness were spotless which shows they really care about hygiene and that makes you feel confident about the food standards too. Hats off to the kitchen staff as well, all our food came within 20 minutes even though it was peak time. We will definitely be coming back next month when I visit...
Read moreThe Cambridge Foodies ranking seems rigged because I just had the worst burger of my life. Bad bread, no salt, awful taste, overly soggy; plastic cups, an unknown soda, artificial flowers, and terrible decor. We were fooled by a ranking that lacks credibility. Don’t come. Run.
In response to your comment, where I don’t see you apologizing for the very bad experience, I must say that we ate the burger because it wasn’t inedible, but you’re definitely not in the running for the 3rd best burger in Cambridge. I left about 90% of the fries, I didn’t like the soda, but I respect your offering—it’s your restaurant. I didn’t like the decor, and if you have regular customers, good for you. I wish you the best, but I wouldn’t return.
The service, though friendly, took a long time to bring us the sodas and glasses, and if we hadn’t asked for napkins, they never would have given us any. I’ve had thousands of better burgers. Maybe my expectations were too...
