Honestly, this is the best cafe I've been to anywhere around the world, in a very long time. I come here almost daily to work - I've tried pretty much all the cafes in Cambridge, and this is by far the best place to work.

Firstly, the set up is very cosy. There are lots of comfy armchairs and sofas, as well as higher tables with chairs if that's your preference. All are conveniently next to power sockets, and the Wifi is fast and reliable. The music and ambience are perfect.

Secondly, the coffee is actually really good. Since I spend a lot of time working in cafes, I can usually sacrifice coffee quality for a nice atmosphere. But the coffee here is actually genuinely good. The baristas are amazing at listening to what you want and giving stellar recommendations, and it's also nice to try one of their new suggestions. The same honestly goes for the tea (served in a cute teapot) and the hot chocolate.

The prices are standard for Cambridge, but the portions are bigger, so that's nice.

Thirdly, the staff are the friendliest, and they honestly make the place. I wouldn't come here half as much as I did if it wasn't for the staff. It's honestly as though they're hired specifically for friendliness and passion for coffee and customer service. They are always very welcoming, they offer a nice cheery chat in the middle of otherwise gloomy days, they remember everyone's favourite drinks and preferences, and they honestly do everything they can to make sure your experience is as comfortable as possible.

I can hardly start to name the brilliant baristas because I'm afraid of missing someone off - but I'll give a quick shout-out to Tiago, Aaliah, Clem, Pauliana, Louis and Carlos who always make my experience here wonderful. :)...

Arrived just before 9am, decor looked great. When I got to the till the waitress looked so miserable and fed up. She bluntly asked what I wanted. So I ordered a black americano. She told me to sit down and she would bring it over. I sat in a cosy corner which looked comfy. When I got out my laptop I realised the table was covered in croissant crumbs. I brushed them to a corner whilst a waitress literally stood there and watched me.

I waited over ten minutes for my coffee to arrive and eventually I asked where it was. She looked over to a table they served before me and asked that I was definitely waiting for it. When it came over it looked oily and had no créma! Just served with no sugars or a spoon.

I was pushed off my table by an American football team obviously staying at the hotel. Not the staffs fault but didn’t add very well to an already disappointing experience!

Sorry chill #2… I was not feeling...

The worst cooked breakfast I've had in recent memory.. nice decor. Best to avoid.

cheap sausages and hash browns (both of which had unmistakably been cooked from frozen) tasteless, milky scrambled eggs, along with extremely salty, over cooked cheap bacon, finished with microwaved beans and some plain white bread. I also overheard your staff giving another customer less than friendly service, so I knew it wasn't worth my time to make a complaint (and furthermore I was en-route to work so time sensitive).

Lots of great places to grab an English breakfast in Cambridge, yet you have a dream location just outside the station - surely it's worth spending a little extra for better quality ingredients and perhaps a little more staff training.

We went here one afternoon for lunch and to work for a couple of hours. The menu is quite small but there are some nice options. We had the eggs benedict with salmon, it was very nice but very expensive. The yoghurt with fruit compote was £4.50! Also the prices weren’t clearly indicated for those. The staff weren’t the friendliest but they were efficient. There are plugs for computers and USB plugs. I don’t think we’ll be going back unless it’s for a quick coffee.

Ate here a few times when staying at the hotel since guests get 10% off their meal. First time I sat in for brunch and had eggs benedict with salmon and a cappuccino. One of my eggs was overcooked but the other was fine. On another evening I tried a pizza to go. Takes around 15-20 min to prepare. Nothing fancy but was decent size for the price. Food elsewhere would be better, but if not wanting to go far it is convenient.
