White Swan — Restaurant in Cambridge

It’s really a shame to be writing this as I had a friend down from Bristol and I wanted to show him some good guiness and and proper pub,

We were having a lovely night and had a few pints of guiness and a couple games of darts, me and my mate went to the toilet for a wee together and got accused of doing drugs, my friend is a police officer but didn’t bother saying. so rude about the whole situation and got a very homophobic feeling from the owner ( that’s not me being a snowflake either) As I said it’s a huge shame because I loved coming here for the guiness and a good chat but I will no longer be coming back due to the rude owner and truly poor attitude, there’s a way going about things and he just didn’t care ( also telling my friend to leave the pub. ) the pub we’ve spent so much money in and had a lovely time in. I will stop telling my clients to come here and will definitely will not be returning, it was true what they said about the owner...

Good pub for watching sport, plenty of tv’s and you can hear the commentary (many pubs don’t care about that). Bad review however as they advertise on the website that they serve food and are a sports bar. They had specials on boards inside the pub so we decided to stay and watch the rugby there.

I went to order food at 4:15 and they said that the kitchen was not open till 5. Odd but ok, I said I would wait. Came back up at 5 to then be told it wasn’t open till after the game which would be around 6:30. Something told me this wasn’t right so I asked somebody else soon after who then said it would likely be 30-40 mins after the game and that don’t try to bring food in cause it’s now allowed.

We actually googled this place before arriving in Cambridge. Was a really disappointing outcome. Won’t be going back. It’s the crowd you are with that makes a good day out so we can have...

Turned up at 12pm opening time on a Wednesday. The car park was empty. Went in and staff were setting up for the day. Asked the person (unsure if he was the manager) if we could eat. He said you should book. Apparently all the tables were already booked! I was standing there and he turned around d and took a phone call totally ignoring me. Just wanted a fish finger sandwich not a full meal! We walked out and will not be going back! Rude staff and made me feel embarrassed! It looks lovely and I think the food is nice but the man behind the bar needs some lessons in people skills and hospitality! The place has had great reviews but with my experience will...
