Very disappointed to be honest. First time ordering from here. I got a sausage muffin, tuna Mayo baguette, southern fried chicken wrap, crisps n chocolate. Firstly, the sausage muffin looked vile, dry and flung together and when I opened it up it looked like donner meat? I actually just threw it in the bin without trying it and that's not usually like me. Tried the tuna baguette but it was just 2 little rolls for 3 or more pounds I'd have preferred a normal size baguette. Also quite dry the bread was stale. The wrap was quite pathetic but I managed to eat most of it. Crisps and chocolate weren't disappointing tho as you obviously can't...

Proprietor was delightful. Wide range of food on offer for breakfast or lunch. Freshly prepared and delicious. Our party of five went back two days in a row, in fact: some to have another go at the full English breakfast (which served as excellent fuel for a long day’s walk on Hadrian’s wall), while others sampled the breakfast sandwiches and the eggs/bacon offering. My son and I stayed at the Travel Lodge Central but having seen the breakfast items for ourselves, decided not to bother. We found the Penny Farthing by chance and were so glad we stopped off there for breakfast. First it was cheaper than the plastic and rubber looking food at the Travel Lodge, and second it was freshly cooked by a lovely lady who clearly took the time and care.
