Lovely clean smart pub with interesting displays reflecting local history, and a very friendly, helpful landlord. We booked for Sunday roast yesterday, arrived to a warm welcome and our table set up ready. Table service was an unexpected bonus, and our drinks arrived cold and our meal piping hot. The roast was one of the best I'd had in years. Crispy roast potatoes, tender pork, plenty of veg, and tasty gravy. There was also a decent veggie option for my friend. The only reason I haven't given five stars is because there was no after meal coffee available, and I don't particularly want a huge television screen on next to me when I'm eating a meal. But...

Had wounderful meal with friends last night .. Homemade steak pie all the trimmings best ever had .. Scampi n chips and a must with onion rings .. Cumberland ring plus trimmings .. And our lovely puds delish .. Followed with a few cheeky drinks ... Felt really safe social distance etc well planned Our host Trevor was on the ball very fast efficient and very funny love the new look And of course compliments to The chef well done .. Highly recomended a welcoming relaxed pleasant experiance A MUST TO TRY ..
