Coffee#1 Loughborough — Restaurant in Charnwood

I am the lady with the annoying barking dog who is a puppy I might add! So can I suggest to Maggie that she go to Costa where dogs are not allowed in as she obviously doesn’t like coffee 1 anyway from all she said. We would like to say how friendly and helpful the staff are here and how nice the coffee is! But now feel unable to return as a “really bad dog review” was pointed out to us by staff today when all it said was “an annoying dog barking” and for that we were encouraged to sit outside. Think you have more to worry about than a dog barking after reading...

Visited today for the first time. Have to say it was nothing special, particularly given the prices. Luckily we heard someone ask for hot coffee, so realised that maybe there's tended to be on the cool side. Had a scone, but the consistency was not normal scone type, more bread. It was on the dry side and crumbled easily. Had much better elsewhere. Inside is nice, staff were friendly and quickly sorted our order, but they were quiet. First time visiting this coffee shop, I doubt I’ll be returning. Placed an order for two coffees, one with vanilla shot- this was missed. The sourdough chicken was flavourless and they forgot to bring out the cappuccino cake, which was very dry and crumbled apart. Before paying, I asked if they did student discount but the employee shock her head and said sorry we don’t. Only to look down at the desk and see a leaflet about student discount 🤣

I can simply say that there are better coffee...
