Iâve never done this before but I feel obligated to share my experience so none of you have to go through the same thing. I ordered through uber eats one night to get Maxin chickens (Loughborough) delivered, I waited 1 hour and there was no update, I waited 20 mins and called up asking if theyâve forgotten about it (honest mistake, can happen!) however, they said they tried calling me and I never picked up so they couldnât deliver it. I work at a phone company so I have all the know how to check if I had a missed call, I had none. I then called myself from another phone and the number worked perfectly. They said I âtyped the number in incorrectlyâ into the app, however, its done automatically by the app so thereâs no margin for error, especially with how its worked with every other delivery. At this point they were lying to me. I asked them why they didnât ring my buzzer to my place but they said they couldnât find it. VERY hard to miss so this is another lie. I asked why didnât they knock? They said they did but then changed their answer to âweâre not allowed toâ, either way there was no knock. Another point I raised was that they could have left it at the door and taken a photo to prove it was delivered, after all, I said it was an option in the app I had opted in for, they didnât have an answer. They said they tried delivering by car but my window allows me to see outside directly to the drive way and is directly next to the front door, there was no delivery attempt! I also stood outside for 15 mins waiting for the delivery but it never came! There was no tracking on the app because they use their own drivers. They then lied and said they were now closed, it was 1:20am ish and they closed at 3am! Pointed this out and their boss started yelling to him in another language for 2 mins. I opened up a Google audio translate tab from a few hours earlier and saw what they were saying about me: insults, telling me he doesnât care and I think âno refundâ but I canât be sure with Googleâs accuracy. I shot back saying I will get a refund and that I can understand what theyâre saying. They go dead quiet and say âcontact uber eats for a refund, no refund hereâ and we hang up. I then share my experience on google reviews to get a response from the owner saying he offered me a refund and says heâs a victim in this situation! Moreover, when I go to uber eats to apply for a refund Maxin Chicken put down that my order was delivered 20 mins after my order! I provided proof to uber eats customer services and got my money back, they tried to steal my money and lie about it! They didnât attempt a delivery, lied about it, insulted me in their language and tried to steal my money! I would have understood if they said âsorry, weâre closed and we made a mistake, weâll refund youâ, it happens! However, all this untrustworthy stuff from them shows why theyâve all got negative recent reviews online from similar complaints to food poisoning to getting not what they ordered. Please be careful so you donât have to go through the same ordeal! Stay safe out there.
Edit to owner I stood outside when the order was meant to come but it never did. I NEVER got offered a refund like you LIED about, I got told I had to contact uber eats, so I have to do work for your incompetency. If you didn't want the food to go to waste you would have actually delivered it. These are the facts: 1- no call 2-no messages in the app 3- no knock at the door 4- no buzzer 5- no order cancellation 6- lies over the phone.
You wouldn't be "struggling" if you actually delivered the food, stop playing the victim when you're in the wrong. No wonder every other food place is doing well delivery wise, they can actually deliver the food quicker than I can walk to Tesco's and back, watch the God father trilogy, make the food myself and write...
   Read moreI normally love this pizza place... great pizza and very cheap with the deals they do. HOWEVER. After delivering 2 pizzas yesterday with the wrong toppings at around 7pm, I am still waiting for the replacement pizzas nearly 23 HOURS LATER (yes that's right, 23 hours!!!!). At first they were very apologetic and so said they would send the replacement as soon as possible but it may be slightly longer than the usual delivery time of 50 minutes. Reasonable, I thought to myself. However it got to 10pm and so I rang again asking how long. They said no later than 11pm. By 11.20pm I was significantly more annoyed and so rang saying I was going to bed soon, can you deliver them tomorrow. I got some excuse of someone going on their break so the message to deliver them by 11 wasn't passed on. Anyway I have now rung a total of 6 times, and having being told they would ring me back (they didn't) I managed to get through to be told they would be delivered in 20-25 minutes. It's now been 50 minutes hence my 6th and hopefully final call to which I was told the driver has left. If there are no pizzas in half an hour I will write another review because quite frankly this has been a ridiculous and tiring process that could have been easily avoided....

FOOD POISONING!!!!! ordered a kebab at 2.30am (website states place closes at 4am), waited 45 mins for it to arrive even though I'm a 30 second drive away and it's a Tuesday night so not busy, and it arrived almost stone cold. Sadly I found out it was cold by eating a mouthful as so hungry from the 45 mins wait and thought it would be ok. I rang to tell them it was cold thinking they'd either replace it with a hit one or refund (I wanted a hot kebab more) and the phone was answered by a lad saying "yea wag wan", I told him they were cold and not edible and he said he won't do anything about it. I'm already feeling unwell from the mouthful that I did eat and my stomach is getting stabbing pains.
