Amazing fresh IPA and a hidden gem of a pub.

Me and my mate felt welcome from the moment we stepped in. what a lovely place, they only had one beer on from their small brewery at the time of visit but tasters were given and then a few ordered it was one of the best IPA's I've tasted, I rated it 4.50 out of 5 on Untapp'd.

the barlady was really freindly and told me all about the brewery and the beers. Seemed like a new but proper local hangout really relaxed atmosphere. great value on the beers too.

as a bonus there were free bar snacks in the form of crackers 3 types of cheese, little pickled onions and brainstorm/chutney.

This is my fav place in the whole town. I cant believe it was open for a year almost before I discovered it. Really great atmosphere. Weekly events. Great community spirit and when Im there its like visiting good friends. I really enjoy the banter both with the owners and staff and customers.

The best thing is, its a back to basics micro pub and you never actually know what beers will be available so that makes it even more interesting. Now a winner of multiple CAMRA awards too - and all well deserved.

It's small but perfectly formed. If you haven't been then you need to seek this place out. The beers are lovely and a good selection of different types. You'll find one you like. The landlady is the life and soul. Everyone in the bar got a sample when she put a new barrel on. You'll feel like you're home as soon as you walk...
