Pizza Hut Cheltenham High St — Restaurant in Cheltenham

Dreadful service from the Pizza Hut delivery place in Cheltenham. We placed an order for our youth group at 7.15pm, with a specific request to have it delivered at 8pm. The guy on the phone repeatedly struggled to get the order correct (and it didn't help that he spoke poor English). The order was delivered early when no one was present to collect (hence the 8pm delivery request), and they had failed to note our phone number, and so did not call us to inform us they were waiting outside with our delivery. As a result, they left without any kind of contact to let us know. No pizza was delivered for 8pm, and on calling them back and speaking to a manager, they tried to initially say it was our fault, before realising that actually they should have a). noted our phone number and called us and b). delivered at 8pm like we specifically requested. This was not the end of it! At 8.15pm after calling them (I was very angry by this point), the manager admits their mistakes and says they'd get the pizzas delivered within 15-20 minutes. Guess what - 8.45pm arrives and STILL no delivery. I call again - was told the driver left 10-15 minutes ago with our delivery and should be on his way (Note that it was a 5 minute drive from our location to the Pizza Hut). Manager says he'll call the driver to find out where he is and then call me to update me. Manager fails to call me back. I call the manager. It's 9pm by this point. Delivery man struggles to find location, despite having full address, sat nav and clear instructions about the location of the building. Delivery eventually arrives at 9.10pm - 70 minutes late of our original request. Though we got the pizzas for free for the inconvenience, we would prefer to pay and have them delivered on time. 17:30 - order marked as delivered

17:35 - called to ask where order was, told it had just turned off pe way and would be less than 2 mins & that the system automatically marks it as delivered when they are close

17:45 - called as heard nothing, store picked up said nothing then hung up.

17:48 - called back and told order would be delivered soon. When I asked why is it taking so long, they said that the driver only left 15 mins ago I asked if prior person was lying as I was told that they were nearly here nearly 15 mins ago, they then checked tracker and told me that it would be delivered within 3 mins

18:00 - food arrives, driver said they were stuck behind a train.

I feel as though I was lied to multiple times when I was just asking for an update on my food as it had been falsely updated...

I ordered 2 pizzas online with the £7 offer for delivery. After an hour of waiting, I rang the Cheltenham branch to see where they were. They thought they were for collection but said they would send it out. Eventually it came but only 1 pizza and the delivery guy tried to charge me for the full amount. The pizza was almost cold too. He said we were out of the delivery zone...only 3 miles away. I wont be using Pizza Hut again and will definitely not recommend them. I've never had this problem with any other pizza company.

Make it clearer about your delivery zone. Maybe text instead of email about orders as people may not think to check the email as they would hope the order wouldn't get messed up!
