Very, very poor! We took our liitle girl for a birthday treat, just a drink & cake. Firstly we ordered hot chocolates, after seeing pictures on their instagram page, covered in cream and waffers etc. We were really dissappointed when a mug half full of hot chocolate arrived, no cream, nothing special. The menu said cream & marshmallow included so we did ask the waitress if we could have the cream and they were taken away and brought back with the tiniest amount of cream and a few marshmallows (no apologies). My daughter had a glass of orange juice which she unfortunately knocked over, and the ladies noticed us mopping it up when they brought our cakes over, but didn't offer to assist with the cleanup or bring any more tissues, so that was really dissappointing. Then for the cake... the counter had barely any choice for cake, so my daughter ordered a kids starwberry sundae, which again said it came with cream, but when it arrived, there was no cream, incredibly dissappointing and we didn't want to be difficult and keep asking, so we just left it. My husband & I ordered the hot choc brownie and ice cream, but the brownie was not warmed up, which was a shame. Overall, a quick and very dissappointing visit and it costed us £30! We felt it was a complete waste of money and we honestly wished we hadn't bothered. I would not recommened for...

Read moreI rarely write a review. However on this occasion it would be remiss to not do so. While I sat in Joanna's I tried to think of the perfect adjective to describe it. After much thought I found it...exquisite! Here is a venue that by putting in thought and attention to detail has got it just about perfect. The warm sage green decor gives off a calm and tranquil vibe. It is an oasis in a bustling town. The staff are polite, well trained and look chic in the beautifully tailored sage green uniform. Such a nice change from the usual industry black. The Raspberry fondant fizz cocktail was a so unusual and tasty that I wish I had taken an Uber so I could have a second one! The afternoon tea menu was the reason I had chosen Joanna's in the first place and it did not disappoint. They have moved away from the typical ham and mustard and salmon and cream cheese on the sandwich selection, have added in a warm savoury selection and have been clever in adding things like a pineapple pavlova instead of the usual berry one as well as light and fluffy scones with the traditional accompaniments. All in all it was a fantastic way to while away a gray winter afternoon in a venue that felt like a warm hug with delectable food to enjoy. If you are in Chichester and looking for a bite to eat don't...
