A small cosy, family run Japanese restaurant, with pleasant people and tasty well presented plates. One can have desent 🍣 sushi plates as well as hot plates, soups, oriental dishes all of high standards at reasonable prices. Impressed by the fact that my tea cup was replenished free of charge and staff was constantly around on your service. The sushi kitchen was in public view and dishes were freshly prepared, whearas the hot plates where coming from the back side of the restaurant. There is a sitting limit of one and a half hour. They missed a straight five points and higher tips for a not working WiFi as they said during our last visit and also due to the fact they accepted no credit cards and the bill was hand written. However I would go again and would advise as I did myself to make a reservation to avoid surprises due to limited space.

Hidden gem of a place. Fantastic mostly Japanese food at great prices. My partner and I ordered far too much food, but still managed to finish it all. The portions are very generous and everything was fresh and beautifully presented. The sashimi was great as was the soft shell crab tempura. When the bill came it was so small that we thought they'd made a mistake! It is a very small restaurant and was busy on arrival at 6pm mid week in late Feb, Definitely worth booking in advance. The restaurant is cash only and doesn't have an alcohol licence, so it's bring your own bottle if you want an alcoholic drink with your meal. They do offer soft drinks. The service was attentive without being intrusive. I would highly recommend and will be visiting again when next in Edinburgh.

BRING CASH! I went with a friend here and we went a bit overboard with ordering, we got sushi, a few starters and a main dish each! My friend was vegetarian so all the starters we got some vegetarian sushi which all tasted really fresh, they gave 2 for each which was perfect for 2 people! We also got some tofu and dumplings which were both really great too! I had the dynamite seafood noodles which although tasty was milder than expected. It was a generous portion which I couldn't finish and had to take half home, so if you do come here, don't eat anything beforehand. The service here was really friendly and attentive, topping up our green tea regularly and checking if we needed anything else.

The BEST sushi ever in UK!!! ***Cash Only*** We looooovvvve sushi, and of course here has a lot of delicious food in Edinburgh. But this one I gotta say, it’s no doubt to be the best we have tried so far. Environment: Tiny but the decor is lovely. Not so many seats, so better come early or just make a reservation. Service: Friendly! Especially when you’ve ordered too much, they would tried to stop you and ask you to order later after you finish your first orders. Foods were very fresh and delicious. The price is acceptable. Highly recommend this one should be everyone’s checklist if you ever plan to come to Edinburgh. Of course we definitely gonna come back again and again and again.

100% coming back for sushi! A cozy shop with friendly service, phenomenal sushi and decent mains. Our group shared the rainbow and volcano roll, both beautifully presented and delicious! Other friends shared the dragon and something else with no complaints. Eel Temaki (no photo because I downed it) was also so flavorful and saucy!! Some friends liked the Shoyu Ramen and others didnt. I found it interesting they had this, though I would also like to see other kinds of ramen instead of fried noodles. My fried noodle main was lacking, nothing bad but nothing good. Other friends ordered nicer things. I may try the fried rice or shoyu ramen next time, or just have sushi.

Such delicious food, amazing service, and cosy atmosphere! This is by far the best sushi places in Edinburgh. 🍣 It is a family run restaurant and can get busy at times so booking is recommended! I think they also do a set menu on the weekdays 😋 We had the eel nigiri, rainbow roll, golden roll, salt and chili chicken and a side of fried noodles. They were all 10/10 (the eel nigiri and the golden roll are a must try)! The prices are extremely reasonable and the portions are generous! Their food is also so good!! They accept cash only but also if you forget they take bank transfers! I will be visiting every time I crave sushi!
