This is one of my new favourite restaurants in Edinburgh! I wish I had unlimited money to come and eat here at least 3 times a week because I want to try everything on the menu. I tried the egg coffee, which was so creamy, delicious and not too sweet! For anyone who has not tried egg coffee I would highly recommend it, and Hoi An serves the best egg coffee I have tried in Edinbugrh. I also had the beef pho, and it was fragrant, savoury, with loads of fresh herbs and a big pile of beansprouts on the side. It truly made me feel so happy and cosy inside. They did not skimp on portion size either! We all left feeling really pleasantly full but not too full. The atmosphere is incredibly cosy and festive and all the staff were so warm, welcoming and attentive. To top it off, they are doing 20% off ALL bills until the 9th Jan, as a newly-opening offer. Get yourself to this restaurant ASAP for a delicious cosy treat meal, you won't...

I love Hoi An. I've been a few times before but I want to review it now because this was a cracking service for five right at the start of the Fringe in 2025.

I'd booked for 8:45, that's very close to them closing. They suggested I got my friends to have a look at the menu so we weren't messing around. Good call.

As it was, we turned up early and they sorted us a great table for five. The food was as good as ever; lots of herbs, lots of freshness to go with the proteins. I love the Ban Xeo here, it's magic. All the dishes we got were super.

I'v never had the Pho. It seems daft that I've not but I've not. Everything looks great. Come on and treat yourself. And it's sensible...

Went for dinner in a party of 4, reservation was needed as it was a Saturday Night. Got their egg coffee, Bún Hué (Hue Style noodles soup) Bánh xèo Hôi An (Hou A pancake) and shaking Beef (hotplate beef) to share! Also ordered the 2 desserts on the menu, which were refreshing and not too sweet at all. The Egg Coffee was like an egg custard on top of freshly brewed Vietnamese coffee, a sweet treat that also satisfies any coffee lover! Portion sizings were generous, and were all tasty! There’s a wide selection of dishes as well, so we’ll definitely be back to try some of the...
