What a lovely cafe this is. Very bright. We decided to go here for lunch whilst we were in town and we were so glad we came here. The place was reasonably busy but we managed to get a table ok. Staff were nice. The menu is decent will a good selection of grub. There are your usuals, healthier options and some unique dishes. It looks like they frequently change their specials which I love! This is a sign that they love their job and like being creative. We decided to get a millionaire shortbread milkshake for drinks. This was good. there were bits of shortbread throughout the milkshake so be aware if that’s not a bitty milkshake person. It can be hard to sook it up if there are bits stuck in your straw. it had quite a nice flavour though. Far from the best milkshake I’ve had, mind. For food my wife got a chicken pesto panini with a side of cous cous and salad. The panini was great. She really liked the flavour and the pesto wasn’t too overpowering. The cous cous was a nice addition but sadly the salad didn’t look too appealing as bits of it looked a bit rotten. I got a pancake stack with pulled pork, BBQ sauce & crispy fried onions. Now I usually prefer pancakes with a sweet topping but boy did I enjoy this. The pancakes were thick and bbq pulled pork was sublime. The crispy onions were also an excellent topping. To conclude, we really enjoyed our lunch here. It was affordable (10% NHS worker discount) and tasty.

This cafe is a very busy and popular spot, it is in a great location and the staff were lovely. Since the space is so popular it feels like there are just a few too many chairs in there. It is loud and cramped making it awkward to move around. This rating may be higher if I was not dairy and meat free- The food options seemed great for people without dietary requirements. The cakes looked fresh and there were some gluten free and vegan options, the menu is fairly priced. Iced coffee is not available but alternative milks are available. I ordered the sourdough toast with smashed avocado and tomato, the sourdough pieces were extremely crisp and small. It was exactly as described mashed up avocado with chunks of tomato throughout, absolutely no seasoning or additional flavours. It was not very filling and very bland which is disappointing as it is one of the only vegan breakfast options. I would recommend this cafe to people without dietary requirements or anyone who just wants to grab a coffee and a cake. If you are someone with dietary requirements looking for a meal there are many other local spots with a more diverse range of options.

I visited this cafe on Monday ten minutes after opening. There were no visitors inside, we were seated at a table to the left of the entrance and given a menu. A minute later, a man came in and ordered takeaway food, after a few minutes he was given an order and we were still waiting for them to come to us (they didn't come to us, I got up and went to the barista and made an order). On the way back I noticed a stain near my table, the couch by the window was tattered so my wife moved to avoid scratchings to her clothes, the table was sticky and stained. I understand that Monday morning can be very difficult, but this is not what you expect from a place with a rating of 4.6 on Google Maps. Very tasty breakfast and a nice view from the window.
