This place is an absolute gem of a deal! Just minutes away from Haymarket station it’s gots authentic French baguette sandwiches, pastries, and wine. We got the sandwiches which came with salad and crisps and the soup of the day (tomato) which came with a sliced baguette. All of it was wonderful and fresh, check this out for a quick budget bite! With a moka, tea, 2 sandwiches, and a soup it came to just under £18!

Enjoyed a very decent Moka coffee and smoked salmon quiche. My wife had the brie and gherkin sandwich. She loved it as well. It's nice and warm inside with a nice local buzz.

I can't fault the breakfast I got here. Was tasty. And very reasonably priced. The man working there was very nice to talk to aswell. I'll definitely be back.

Great place for grabbing a quick breakfast, the chocolate croissants are superb, the hot chocolate is OK except the lid didn't fit the cup properly so I got soaked on the way to work (minus 1 star for cheap cups).

I've sat in and had lunch a couple of times and the staff are very friendly but the sandwich you get depends on what's left on display, they don't seem to make fresh sandwiches on demand.

EDIT MAY 2017: Sorry I've had to amend my review as another cup failed and the content came out and burnt my hands. I'm not sure if it's because they fill them too much or because the cups or lids are just rubbish but they leak/pop off a little bit and the contents just burns you... it's a massive shame because I was getting used to breakfast and a coffee for breakfast. Downgraded from 4 to 3 stars, if they replace the cups I would happily give this...

The owner was not friendly, it was taking a long time to get our order, so iasked him how long it would take for us to get served because we had limited time and he just replied “what do you mean how long? How long do you have? 5min?10 min? Half hour? Your order is in the oven! It has to cook!”. When we finally got the food, the crocque madame we ordered had the egg not cooked (I don’t mean it was a little runny, i mean the white wasn’t cooked and it smelled funny), it was made with crappy white sliced bread when he is famous for his bakery. I had a crocque with salmon and it didn’t taste nice as well. Plus, he was the only person running the place on a Saturday morning and he was going back and forth from the kitchen to the tables with his long hair not tied up. I really do not...

Went to Edinburgh with my partner, I insisted he try a Scotch pie, he's English and never had one, went in and waited, chap served someone, kept saying 2 minutes, 2 minutes, 2 minutes. We were in the take away place on the right. I was outside waiting for him when a youngish lad came out of the sit in restaurant side with a broom chasing a large rat. I imediately said to my partner we are not eating here, there was a workman behind us who had already finished eating one of the things he bought, he started swearing, clearly unhappy about the fact he had just finished something from here. Would avoid. Happened 26/08/21 at...
