Read moreWouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t come back. We had booked a table for 7pm for dinner on a Friday night. When we arrived we were put in the basement, alone, no atmosphere nothing and told to hurry up to order because they were closing the kitchen for the basement room at 7pm. We had to quickly make a choice. When ordering my burger the bar girl asked if I wanted onion rings. I asked if these were included and she said yes. Turns out they were extra. Food was very good so that’s the positive. No possibility of having a pudding as the kitchen was closed for us but not for upstairs so that’s just pure unfairness. No ice for downstairs for our drinks because they had already closed the bar downstairs but the waiter couldn’t be asked to go upstairs and get us some on one of the hottest days of the year in Edinburgh leaving us with tepid drinks. We hadn’t finished eating that the staff just came and cleared the table without asking us… We didn’t feel welcomed at all. Next time don’t take bookings if you can’t cater for your guests on a Friday night in the capital. The toilets absolutely reeked of urine which was...
Read moreUnhappy visit. Our group, five of us, booked a table on ground floor to watch a football match, to discover later that some of us, who also liked to have food, had to move temporary downstairs to eat, and this was not told to us at the moment of the booking. Apart this the service has been soooo slow, we waited 40 minutes (the pub was not full) for a sandwich and a burger, and again it was not communicated to us at the moment of the order, because we would have decided to not wait and seat together instead. After all, anyway we were trying to enjoy the time there, one of the managers approached us to let us know we should not wear football shirts and not to cheer when there was a goal. Well.. we were a group of five, 3 of us drinking coca cola only, only 2 of us wearing a football shirt, not even all football supporters, but he pictured us as almost dangerous. It was a ridiculous situation. Why do you show football match...
