My first time, and now my last time ordering a delivery from Nando's. It's also Just Eat's fault I think. I ordered at 3.47, I phoned at 4.47 just to check that it was all okay (I wasn't impatient, just had a feeling), he said the delivery driver left 15 minutes prior, so I thought "any moment now, then" even though I live 7 minutes down the road but whatever, I'm not demanding or impatient. I phoned again at 5.22 just to ask what's happening and to say my food would be cold by then as it would have been out in a car for an hour and a half, so I'd like a refund. She said it was coming up as being delivered and accepted by someone, but she did believe me. I hadn't received anything - not even a missed call - I checked for any blocked unknown calls just to be certain - nothing - and they have my phone number. I was passed back to the guy I'd spoken to on the phone the first time. He seemed to take it seriously too so I did feel reassured, like that I'll maybe get a refund and fresh order soon, or something. He said he needed to speak to Just Eat so would call me back in just 5 minutes. The call ended at 5.27, but it's now 5.57. I've now decided, even if they fix this for me and leave me satisfied. They don't deserve a good review, so that's why I'm leaving this here, as a warning to others. I'm not going to order from this Nando's ever again. My first time ordering from them. Really? I'm not even the kind of person to leave bad reviews. I've overlooked many mistakes in the past with...
Read moreDisappointing takeaway on nearly every level. I've worked service and understand some nights can be difficult, but combined with the steep prices and underwhelming taste this is generally a poor choice. We ordered a takeaway online and headed there to collect. On arrival it was obviously a busy night and we sat down to await our collection. The young staff were obviously doing their best and we were passed by once and assured out order was coming although it was close to 45 minutes from sitting down to receiving this and like 80 minutes since placing the order. During this time multiple people were heading to the counter with bills and food in hand so we weren't holding out much hope for a great meal. Right enough on getting home the food was cold, minimal and missing bits and pieces. The hummus came without pitta and the butterfly chicken was a hilariously small double breast not worth anything close to the price paid. The salad was bulked out with salad leaves whilst still coming in at a pretty penny and the overall experience was disappointing at best. There are many lovely restaurants in this area, you can do so much better for...
Read moreI know people who swear by (not at) Nando's and go whenever possible. I can only think that these are people who cannot cook at home.
It's often held up as some sort of gluten-free Mecca, always guaranteed to have something for those who must eschew the dreaded protein. I had been once before and was unimpressed but thought it worth a second chance...
Nope. Not exciting. Perhaps if you are able to indulge in the multi-layered burger spectacles that seem popular there is something magical that makes one go again and again. However, a bit of warm chicken, a handful of fries with some spiced salt on top and some truly uninspiring coleslaw are THINGS I CAN DO CONSIDERABLY BETTER AT HOME FOR LESS MONEY. The only saving grace is the garlic sauce, which I could drink out the bottle.
Seriously, this is a massive and popular chain? It's less inspiring than KFC. I'd rather find a nearby supermarket and snack on sliced...
