I’m not that fond of Greek and Cypriot food, or so I thought until I had the pleasure of eating here. We were a very large group of ten but they very kindly allowed us to book ahead with a set menu of sharing platters and accommodated us fantastically despite being a very intimate space.
There seemed to be no end to all the little dishes of treats to fight over, and such a great selection of vegetarian options. I’m a very meat person and I was not disappointed by the insanely good meat mountain grilled platter, but I thought the veggie dishes were the stars of the meal. I could have had just pita and the split pea dip all night and still felt like I got my money’s worth; even in the simplest dishes you could taste the quality ingredients and skilled preparation.
Arrive hungry; you will not be able to control yourself around that pita bread.
The staff were extremely attentive and friendly, the decor was cosy and even the flatware was just beautiful to look at. I look forward to dining there again, thank you...
Read moreWent there yesterday at around 5 pm with my husband and waited for the staff to show us our seats. We were greeted coldly by a male staff (short hair, probably in his 50s) who told us we couldn’t sit inside (although the place was practically empty) because we weren’t sure if we wanted to order food. He showed us to the only empty table outside which could fit 2 people. When my husband told him we had another 2 friends joining us, he rudely told us that there wasn’t any table left and quickly turned the other way as if he couldn’t bear talking to us for another second.
Now my husband has been their loyal customer for years and he always brought his friends over for drinks and/or food. I only ate there twice myself and I’ve seen the owner during the two times I was there and he was without a doubt very friendly. But we didn’t see him yesterday. My advice to the owner would be to keep an eye on your staff because bad service would drive even your most loyal...
Read moreI was in a rush and the restaurant was fully booked. Yet, they managed to find me a table for dinner before the next booking arrived. I had a Kokkinisto which they prepared in 10-15 minutes, so I was on the road in 40 minutes total. Thank you.
Food was really nice, but I was missing the rich tomato sauce, there wasn't enough to feel the richness, the pasta gathered it all up.
Servers were really attentive, they were checking tables every minute. A tip: they were even checking few seconds after each other, that could probably be improved somehow. It was also a bit strange that the staff was wearing normal clothes, I wasn't sure who's staff and who's a guest, or a friend of the staff just here to chat. At least a wristband or uniform-necklace, something indicating belonging would be nice.
