Roman Pizza Project — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

Not roman pizza at all. This is more like ordinary circle pizza. Roman pizza is sold by square or rectangular pieces with a variety of fresh flavour options with a crusty dough all throughout. Ok fine even if it’s not roman pizza, but just purely from taste perspective the pizza is quite bad - extremely salty and it seems they use store bought salami, sausage and ham..when we asked the staff why the pizza is so salty, got a response that it’s due to the meats which makes me think it has to be store bought, so the ingredients are not fresh. Anyways, eating at this place means you will end up with hypertension and high bp due to the amount of salt in the pizza. Perhaps rename from roman to salty pizza.

Not sure but we chose to eat here due to the google reviews as we were craving for roman style pizza after recently visiting rome and we unfortunately came across this place..and with so many positive google reviews and the name of the restaurant, we were misled us. This place is not just a waste of money but also a waste of appetite and a health risk for sure given the amount of salt they put in the pizza!! I suggest the owner or person making the pizza to atleast try and taste the pizza you are making because it’s super super salty. an average person could end up in hospital due to the amount of salt in your pizza.

Atmosphere is also bad as seating is congested. Never returning and wouldn’t...

I recognise I placed an order late and I don’t know if this is a problem endemic with the Deliveroo culture. But to have my food show up late and to be delivered in a sub par state I.e the chewiest pizza I’ve ever had. I could’ve gotten a better meal from a freezer pizza at home. I would rather have my order cancelled if they couldn’t keep up with the work load and save us all the the time.

I went through deliveroo firstly before contacting the store only to be hung up on several times and told ‘I live super far away’ when haymarket to pilton on a Sunday evening is literally a 35 minute drive at the extreme worst.

When calling the store to lodge a complaint the gent on the other end was extremely unhelpful and simply said ‘my manager isn’t about if you have a complaint’ and I was hung up on for the fourth time. I’m sure the Deliveroo driver was anxious upon arriving at my place and I in no way put this blame upon him. However, I am incandescent at the staff at Roman pizza for the blasé rudeness at my feed back; I just want my money back for the impolite and poor service. My partner and I had the best pizza here on Friday night! Service was great too, I forgot to get the gentleman's name, but he was so lovely and great to talk to. I will 100%be back soon! Best pizza in Edinburgh by far! We used to eat pizza here before the management changed and I am so pleased to know the pizza is just as amazing as before. Perfect tomato base, perfect crust, perfect abundance of toppings and good quality ingredients. Highly recommend eating in because this pizza is best eaten straight away.
