Casa Hamilton B&B — Hotel in City of Edinburgh

We visited Edinburgh for the first time in December 2019. Our original plan was to go to Paris but because of a transportation strike we had to change plans last minute and I booked Casa Hamilton based on the location and the excellent reviews from Booking and Trip Advisor. I really didn't know what to expect since I'm not really used to staying at B&B's, however I trusted the reviews and I'm happy to say I was not disappointed at all. It was an amazing experience. From the minute we came in, the owner, Will made us feel very comfortable. The house is tastefully decorated with an eclectic and very creative type of decor. The room with the roman tub we stayed at was very quaint and spacious with a beautiful view of the nearby church. The bathroom was modern and also very spacious. Will was very pleasant from the first minute he greeted us. He took the time to give us directions to the city center which was very close and he also pointed out several recommendations. Next morning Will presented us with a delicious homemade breakfast and as the days went by we really felt like we were visiting a friend rather than staying at a hotel/B&B. Will was always very friendly and catering. I highly recommend this B&B if you are staying in Edinburgh! After a small hiccup with another Hotel, we found Casa Hamilton had a room to spare, Will welcomed us (at very last minute) with open arms! He couldn’t do enough to help us, from carrying our bags, recommending places to go and most of all providing us with the most amazing place to stay with the heartiest of breakfasts. ||We could have listened to Wills stories all day, we didn’t want to leave! ||Having to leave early in the AM to head back, Will provided us with a ‘to go’ breakfast and booked our taxi. I had an amazing stay at Casa Hamilton. Will, does an amazing job at making you feel at home at Casa Hamilton. It was evident to myself as a guest at Casa Hamilton that Will takes great pride in ensuring that all of his guests have an enjoyable stay. Will was always open to any questions and requests and was very helpful in answering any questions about Edinburgh in general. ||||The breakfast was exceptional, all of it fresh and cooked right in front of you. The beds, shower and bathroom were always clean. I have zero complaints as a guest at Casa Hamilton. ||||I could not have asked for a better host to have on my first trip to Scotland.
