The Way Taste 面面聚道 — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

hubby likes to tell people it's hard to impress me with food (I just want things to actually taste good!), but the duck (big chunks with bones) was amazing! The flavor was on point!!

The prices on the outside (with pictures) are not updated so most dishes are a few pounds more on the menu (text only) but it is probably the top Chinese restaurant I have tried in Edinburgh... most of the others are alright (Iike pretty good for what you can get in Edinburgh) but always something slightly off you can't quite put your finger on...

The other dish I ordered was good also - no gross pork taint taste whatsoever that's ubiquitous in the UK. The food here is good, like how you would judge Chinese food in China, no qualifier necessary.

third time tried the beef pancakes (very oily, not recommended), preserved fish and braised pork were not bad but both very average..... disappointed especially 'cause it was close...

This is so far one of the two best Chinese restaurants that I can faithfully recommend to my Chinese friends. I have been there four times so far and the crews were always friendly and helpful.

It’s a bright and hygienic restaurant. You can see what’s going on in the open kitchen right through.

If you are not Chinese, try the Northeast style sweet and sour pork and crispy diced chicken with chilli (don’t worry it is not actually spicy as it looks or sounds). If you are from Chinese heritage or a fan of Sichuan foods, griddle cooked chicken with chilli (干锅仔鸡）,chinese twice cooked pork (回锅肉）and fried hot and spicy shredded potato (酸辣土豆丝）are good.

However, I have to honestly advice against the noodle dishes here. I ordered sliced beef soup noodle here. It was unsatisfactory. Go to the noodle specialist nearby if you are down to...

Quite busy, wins on the authenticity and the variety of dishes they can do. One of the handful chinese restaurant in EDI worth visiting.

Few months later, I came back to edit this review. Unfortunately, this restaurant is visibly losing its quality of service over time, tonight we ordered our takeaway inside the restaurant, and they forgot to put the rice we ordered and paid for into...
